"One of the most warm, welcoming hotels we've stayed in. Beautiful house and even better staff. Their master bedroom has the most phenomenal view but the smaller bedrooms are very nice and cozy and have a similar view. Highly recommend the place. "

"Ideal base for a few days hiking, particularly in the area of Thirlmere & Helvellyn from Swirls. We weren’t in the hotel too much due to hiking, but more than adequate after a tiring day in the fells. Room was comfortable, if a little small (but there are different choices of room type, so you book for your needs!). Clean & well presented. Comfy bed, great amenities for drinks & snacks. Continental breakfast was ideal. Kings Head inn 2 min drive down the road & highly recommend for a post hike...
