"Room was clean .Check in was not good, check in staff couldn't find my booking.Member of staff took my phone and started randomly scrolling through it which was annoying.Finally found my booking on their system, logged under he wrong name! Got to room to find toilet didn't flush and drain away. But was late at night so no one available to help.Air conditioning didn't work properly so asked for a fan.Was assured someone would drop one off the following day, but it didn't happen.Nor did maintenance deal with the toilet issue. Finally moved room.Asked for a late check out. Went out in the morning, returned to my room and was locked out.Another ordeal trying to get back into my room and find booking. Think staffing is the key issue here , otherwise lovely hotel."

"Beautiful and very comfortable hotel. Excellent location and we were able to walk to almost all of the major sites we wanted to see. Beautiful views of the cathedral and the river from our room. Lovely atrium bar. We would definitely stay here again if in Berlin."

"Once was, a grand hotel. Restaurants they list on website close early and though they claim having 4 restaurants I never saw more than one open. Furniture in room was worn. AC in room didn't work. Very few outlets in room. Cousins to be smoke free property, everytime I walked up to main entrance had to walk through smokers."

"We stayed in a grand twin room - the room was very spacious and the bedding and everthing was well cleaned. There was lots of room to put down a suitcase, hang up clothes etc. The beds and pillows were very comfortable after a lot of walking around the city. The location is excellent, centrally located for walking to the major tourist attractions both northwards and southwards. Yet it was also quiet and peaceful, we didn't hear a peep from anyone else in the hotel. It was reassuring that there was a safe in the room, and the soaps provided were nice. The reception staff were friendly and looked after our baggage after check out. There are snacks/drinks vending machines, and boiling hot water dispenser and free teas on alternating floors. Overall a great value place to stay for our first trip to Berlin."

"Wonderful hotel in a great location. Many attractions were well within walking distance and there is an underground station right out the door. The hotel had everything to make our stay fun and enjoyable. And the price is quite reasonable for a major European capital. We couldn’t have been happier with this choice. "

"Zimmer & Komfort Die Zimmer sind angenehm groß, allerdings ist der Grundriss etwas unvorteilhaft gestaltet. Die Betten waren zwar bequem, aber die Bettwäsche und Handtücher wirkten alt und abgenutzt – diese sollten dringend erneuert werden. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt im Bad: Es wäre schön, wenn Bodylotion zu den bereitgestellten Pflegeprodukten gehören würde. Service & Personal Hier gibt es den größten Verbesserungsbedarf. Das Housekeeping war wenig aufmerksam (einige Handtücher wurden beim Wechseln schlichtweg vergessen). Der größte Schwachpunkt war jedoch die Rezeption: Das Personal war sehr unaufmerksam und unfreundlich. Mir fiel auf, dass die männlichen Kollegen etwas professioneller waren als die weiblichen. Lage & Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Das Hotel ist verkehrsgünstig an mehreren Knotenpunkten gelegen, was je nach Reiseziel sehr praktisch ist. Was das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis angeht: Sauberkeit und allgemeine Instandhaltung sind in Ordnung, aber für den gebotenen Service und die Ausstattung ist das Hotel ein bischen zu teuer."
