"Overall, this hotel is very average. There were a few positive and negatives. I’ll start with the positives. After asking for water and toiletries, they were eventually provided. They let me shower after checkout and stored my bag, which was nice! The room is very average, but there was a gap above the door that didn’t shut all the way which let bugs in at night. There was loud music late into the early morning hours from neighboring hotels. And, perhaps the most offsetting aspect for me was...

"Clean and comfortable room, great location, beautiful garden, but the highlight was the wonderful family and food. It felt like being invited into a family while they provided 5 star hotel service but at a cheap price. Room service, laundry service, and anything else you could dream of. Extremely knowledgeable about what to experience in the country and where the get the best prices. I had 5 great days. The family is very helpful and always ready for a chat. "Really friendly guest house! Everything you need for a budget holiday. We had a great time there , AC and fan in the sleeping room and great breakfast. 2 or 3 minutes walking to Mirissa beach . Nice cooking lesson and lots of smiles everyday. "

"Very dated furniture/ decor and a little basic , no hot water insects in the bathroom , However all is forgiven when you step onto the balcony the view was to die for could have sat on that balcony everyday for the rest of my life , truly phenomenal "

"I had a wonderful stay at Wild Roots! I stayed for 6 nights. Room was spotless. Great AC. Kettle with tea and coffee. Spacious bathroom with a hot shower. Loved the balcony. Location is ideal. One minute walk to the stunning beach, but just off the busy main road. Staff were incredibly friendly. Always available both before and during my stay. Nothing was too much bother. Helped arranged drivers for me. Would absolutely stay again. "

"Hotel was welcoming, stylish and located a couple of minutes from the best side of the beach. The rooms are a little smaller than they appear on the photos but spotlessly clean, modern and well equipped. The atmosphere and cocktails were great, & breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.
