"Very enjoyable stay. Staff could not do enough for you and the breakfast was amazing. Took two dogs with us so understandably had to pay extra. Just think the £30 each dog is too much. Don't want the dog ball and treats etc. that were provided. Other than that, highly recommend."

"On arrival, the hotel is nothing short of spectacular. We booked it for the scenery and the amenities and they didn’t disappoint. The room, however, was disappointing. There are 3 separate buildings you could be put in, not just the main cover photo building. There seems to be a building designed with business stays in mind which I am sure is practical for that purpose. However, as we were there for a leisure stay, I was quite disappointed to be put in that building as it was lacking personality and had a very prison-like layout (if you have been in one then you will understand what I mean). I have attached a picture for reference. There was no air con in the room and no fridge either which I was surprised at, and the window overlooked a roof that staff were working on so it compromised any sort of privacy. It was a very bittersweet stay but I suppose you get what you pay for as the prices were good."

"One of the key features of this hotel is room styles we had a decadent room the copper bath in the middle of the room which unfortunately could not hold any water as the bath plug leaked so what ever went in pretty much drained away and then to add to that the water was stone cold as the tap did not work correctly and also you could not shut off the shower unless you had the strength of Hercules, why is none of this checked before the room is given out, a shame as last time i stayed here it was a good experience now the rooms seem tired and for the prices being paid for the room and food and drink they need to do better"

"Attractive inn, with outdoor seating and comfy indoor seating. Some rooms in the main building, some outside in a stable type block, which we were in. Staff very friendly, food good and a good selection but our room decor was tired. Peeling paintwork on the walls, lots of scuffs, broken window pane, one side a lovely field view; the other a row of blue bins. Our room definitely needed some TLC. On the plus side; lots of hot water, good shower, comfy beds and clean linens. That only leaves the general decor condition as a let-down which is a shame."
