"Language barrier between ourselves and the host nothing a translation app couldn’t help with and she was ever so patient! Apartment was lovely and spacious, not too far of a walk from the beachfront with restaurants. Hidden €1.50 tourist tax per guest per night- but couldn’t go wrong with the pricing overall especially with some complementary breakfast.."

"We were perfectly situated to get to Taormina center. Everything in Casa Florio worked well with extras such as a bottle of wine and plenty of Nespresso capsules for the machine! The spiral staircase looks daunting but functions well. Luckily the bathroom is also upstairs with the bedroom so there were no trips down in the dark. There are two air conditioner units; we could use just what we needed where we needed and it was appreciated to keep the upstairs bedroom cool for sleeping. Genius...

"Multi-generational family visiting Taormina for the first time. Casa di Nonno was a wonderful experience and location! Communication with host was thorough and prompt. We even arranged ground transportation as well. Once we were on site, Christina made sure we had everything we needed, including coming to our rescue when we locked ourselves out! She showed us how the gate & front door locks worked, where everything was inside. "The villa has a rustic charm and the outdoor patio area was a great space for all the family and the kids loved all the fruit trees. Really helpful that the pool and steps are gated off to keep safe for the children. Giovanni was super helpful and easy to contact. Great time had by all :-)"

"The perfect place to totally chill and unwind, which was just what we needed. Lovely characterful farmhouse, fab location, close to Taormina, the most beautiful town ever! Loved the horses who came to greet us each morning and the cats who visited us. Mimmo was the perfect host, there when we needed, and even brought us vegan cookies, which was such a lovely gesture and much appreciated! "We stayed at Casa Spisone with our family of 6. The house is in a great location, walk to the beach, mini market and Taormina cable car. We spent most of our time at Mazarro beach which is sandy and has a small public area. The house was great for the family with two bedrooms downstairs, although you walk through one to get to the other. Carparking was a bonus and we used the outdoor patio a lot. "Property very tastefully furnished, friendly hosts (who speak very little English). OK for 2 people, would be a bit tight for 4. Major issues with swimming pool (out of action for 5 of our 14 days), with water pressure (20 mins for shower to warm up and then only a dribble), extremely loud and frequently barking dog. Although located in a side street it is adjacent to a major road - plenty of traffic noise during the day. Location convenient for Etna and the sites on the east side of the island."
