  • This place is right behind the James L Knight Center, right between the Brickell Avenue and the S.E. 2nd Avenue bridge. I was on the North side of the Miami River pointing my camera South East. I found plenty of parking for a reasonable price. Best time if you want lots of action would be Friday or Saturday night. For a more desolate nights I would recommend Monday thru Thursday night. Here you will find an incredible amount of photography opportunities to shoot for. While like any big city you will find a few homeless folks, the place was very clean and very well kept. Lots of new, very tall buildings have made the Miami landscape a very popular site for photography!

We were stranded in Miami for a night due to flight cancellations and needed a room. Easy to reserve with Expedia and the staff made the process smooth when we arrived. Accommodations were fine for a quick overnight stay.

Room was clean but hotel is older and is showing wear. The check-in process was very hectic because of the weather situation but overall I think the Clarion staff really did a great job. If all I needed was a hotel to stay in for one night I would certainly choose Clarion again at this location

Very accommodating we flew in on the weekend that the weather was insane and the hotel was very accommodating to all of the guests that were flying in very early they made a list of people who were checking in as soon as rooms became available they made sure everybody was checked in smoothly. I highly recommend this hotel. The price is great the beds are comfortable and myself and my husband are very disabled when it comes to our Max and everything else in our body. We slept like babies and we're ready for our cruise the next day. Wonderful staff!

Nice staff! Clean room! Staff confused on how to get shuttle at airport! Three staff told me completely different directions! Shuttle to cruise port only on weekends! Screwed here too, but desk guy Jorge got a taxi for two of us going to port so saved $15-20 dollars! Staff very nice!

The entrance is dirty. The staff were nice. They do have transportation to the cruise ports for a fee, which is nice. Taking the shuttle was perfect and the driver was great. The room smelt musty. There is no heat. The hotel restaurant was dirty, food mediocre and not well cared for. Overall the hotel needs upgrades.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but the hotel turned the a/c off at night because Miami was having record low temps but my room was on the 5th floor. It was a sauna as soon as you stepped off the elevator. I was sweating all night and couldn’t control it. The hotel definitely has a smell like it’s hiding mold. I left my stay a night early because 2 nights there was enough for me.

The only reason I can provide positive comments is due to the staff and room. Staff are courteous and efficient. The room was spotless. Fairly new bathroom is a plus. You need a mirror in the bedroom area. Get rid of the random wall print to make space. The hotel is without ANY amenities. That is UNACCEPTABLE considering the cost. It’s a HOTEL not motel. Renovations being in progress are not an excuse to leave the paying guests in the lurch! Get something going besides that quasi coffee station. Do it right, guys. Exterior of hotel is also unacceptable. Looks dilapidated: (the architecture/marquis and steel. Finally, end the extra parking administrative tasks and cost.

This hotel is fine for an overnight stay and that’s about it. The upkeep of the rooms is subpar. Our room smelled like mold, which was disappointing. The only good things I can say about this place are that our room came with a microwave and mini fridge, and the shuttle from the hotel to the port was very convenient, about a 15-minute drive. I’d recommend this place mainly for someone staying just one night. Our cruise left midday, so it made sense for us to fly in the night before and use their shuttle to get to the port. That part worked out really well and helped a lot. For that specific situation, I highly recommend it. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere. This is one of those places I’m glad I didn’t stay at for more than a day or two.

Clean, fluffy, comfortable beds. Clean bathroom. Stale, smoky scent throughout hotel. Hotel room door out of a police raid. Broken ac and vent. Spoke to front desk attendant who said someone would come up to fix. No one came or called. I turned off the ac so I could sleep. I was too tired to escalate (it was 10pm and I was tired from being on the raod all day). I booked the room weeks in advance. I called them on day of to say I was running late. I should have been treated better.

This is the review I gave the Clarion "If I could give this place a negative i would. We arrived in a party of 8 people. First, the staff was very nice and helpful. But that is where any good ends. Arriving was such a horrifying experience. The lobby and hallways were dirty and smelled moldy. The lobby was crowded with workers getting off their shift and waiting for their shuttle. When we checked in we were told we could not get a shuttle to the cruise port until an hour after we were supposed to be there. Finally the driver who drove us from the airport offered to get our party by ourselves to the port. (See, nice people working there) When we got to our room it was again another horror story. The carpets were rhreadbare and dirty looking. The curtain hems were falling out and the windows were filthy. I next want into the bathroom and thought I had arrived in hell. Some alien red mold all around the base of the tub and the toilet. And it smelled worse than the hallways. I refreshed myself in the sink and flushed the toilet . . .OMG! It started to overflow. I called the front desk and asked for help. Maintenance came right away, another credit to the workers. But he could not fix it. We asked for a new room but apparently the hotel was fully booked. The "restaurant" in the lobby was at best a cafeteria, but a very expensive one. $15.00 for scramble powered eggs and toast. Another $10.00 for waffles or bacon. This hotel needs at the very least a total overhaul, but better

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. However, there was false advertising in this hotel , no pool and a fee for the continental breakfast. The shuttle and front desk staff were amazing.

Room and hotel were obviously old but clean. I saw others reviews and don't agree. No bugs. Clean room. Hot water. Good pressure. We ate in the Little restaurant and it was fine. There is some renovations going on in lobby. Not 5 star but good enough for a night. Also I was not charged for parking as I left early morning.
