"Stayed at Hotel Alerion on several occasions. It seems like there are new owners. I was a little disappointed with the maintenance. The light in the bathroom was so dim that you could not see. After several requests, it was replaced and worked great. The elevator was out of order and from what I heard , it has been like that since November 2025. The room was nice . The staff was very good and helped carry the luggage. They also helped us with directions. Overall, it was a nice stay."

This period is ideal for exploring Metz's outdoor attractions like the Esplanade and the Jardin Botanique, and enjoying al fresco dining along the Moselle River. You'll find fewer crowds than in the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience at popular sites like the Centre Pompidou-Metz and the Cathédrale Saint-Étienne.September and October also offer comfortable temperatures, usually between 10°C and 18°C, and the changing autumn foliage adds a picturesque quality to the city's architecture. The cooler weather is also great for strolling through the historic streets of the Ville Ancienne or visiting the Musée de la Cour d'Or without the heat of summer. While July and August are warm and sunny, they are also the busiest months, which can mean larger crowds and higher prices for accommodation.
