"Excellent customer service! Hotel staff were professional, responsive, friendly, and very welcoming. Mr. Guillermo went above & beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable & comfortable. He also made several recommendations on where to eat, things to do, and places to visit which I found extremely helpful. I must also note that Mr. Guillermo is multi-lingual; Spanish, English, French, & German; a very impressive skill! The Gran Hotel Panamericana Merida is in a quiet location with its own private parking lot. Upon entering the hotel, you are greeted with an inviting & relaxed ambiance with soft music playing throughout the day. Its location makes it accessible to many attractions and restaurants that one can easily walk to such as La Plaza Grande, Catedral San Idelfonso, Vana Restaurant and La Chaya Maya to name a few. The room was nice, clean, and spacious with a large closet; bed and pillows were very comfortable. Inside the room, you’ll also find a small fridge, a TV, a safe, and an AC unit that worked wonderfully. The restroom was clean and big with a walk-in shower and a full-size mirror behind the door. Other perks to take into consideration are the lovely pool, which is cleaned daily, and the FREE Wi-Fi which I was able to use without any issues. Lastly, the breakfast buffet varied daily with warm & very delicious dishes, fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, made-to-order omelets and a good selection of beverages. "

"Modern and clean hotel right on the beach. The rooms are nice and clean, and I had a great view of the ocean. I would have liked to have a room safe but otherwise everything was great. "

"The room was clean at check in, but never swept afterwards. Tumble weeds of hair always there, everything dusty ( I cleaned it, you are welcome) the toiled was plugged or would not flush at least 2 times a day! This was the must frustrating part because I was always worried about using the bathroom at nigh or in an emergency. The front star was awesome! Always! The bar tender slash room service, slash front desk, slash learning to be a cook was alway great and over worked, he was everywhere!!! Always had a smile and super happy to have a conversation. He requires a major pay rise!! I will never stay in this hotel again. The beds are very small NOT a QUEEN! The birds on the windows are too thin. I can hear the birds all night long and I was no where beer the elevator, but could hear every ding. The AC was perfect! The towels suck! Breakfast was good the first day....but really? No change? It was not worth the money for this hotel other than the location and free parking."
