Unlike an apartment, it’s a fully self-contained, single-level home with no internal stairs — easy and accessible for everyone. The house features two comfortable bedrooms, with quality bed linen, bath towels, and beach towels provided for up to four guests.
The spacious open-plan living and dining area is filled with natural light and includes a thoughtful selection of books, toys, and games for both kids and adults. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook and dine in, including an oven, cooktop, microwave, and dishwasher. There’s also a separate laundry with a washing machine and dryer to make longer stays even more convenient.

LOCAL AREA Just a short stroll will take you to a lovely bunch of shops in Martin Street. Many great cafes, fish and chips, bakeries, restaurants, boutique shopping, a very good Op Shop, supermarket, news agency and butcher. Omar and the Marvelous Coffee Bird is located on our street corner so you can pop down for breakfast and fabulous coffee to kick start your day. Brighton Beach is approximately about a 3-5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away.
FOR THE KIDS At the cottage there is a secure outdoor space for the kids to relax or play in the sunshine. Leafy Gardenvale Park is an excellent playground and space to run around. Suits all ages. Gardenvale is Melbourne's smallest suburb but it is so close to Elsternwick, Elwood, Brighton, Ormond and various other villages so you will never run out of things to do in the area.
FOR THE SPORTING ENTHUSIAST 16 minutes to the Royal Melbourne Golf Course. Tennis Courts are a 5 minute drive away. Getting to Major sporting events like the soccer, football, rugby, tennis or cricket is just a short 10 minute train ride to Richmond Station and walk to the MCG. To get to Etihad Stadium it takes 15 minutes to Southern Cross Station then a walk to the Stadium - it's that easy!

Neat, clean, welcoming and charming.
This property was perfect for our stay, close to the train station, cafes and great coffee. Katie was so lovely and accommodating, we highly recommend this property.
The cottage was easily accessible, clean, spacious and nicely decorated and had all we needed for our stay in Melbourne. Katie was helpful and responded promptly throughout the booking and check in process. I would recommend the cottage and happily stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay, the house is comfortable, cosy and peaceful. The whole house is very clean and neat and we really appreciated the extra touches provided for guests - the kids had lots of fun with theirs. Thanks for the comfy stay.

We had a great stay at Gardenvale cottages. Everything was super clean and tidy and it had everything you need for a really comfortable stay. The kids loved playing with the toys and the special surprise that was left for them.
There is a really great coffee shop just a few doors down which is very handy and the local shops and supermarkets are only a few minutes away.
