Amazing view

Very good place. A little bit difficult to find, took time to check in and tried to charge us twice when check out probably by mistake But overall very nice room, view of the city and breakfast

La posizione della struttura è impagabile. Si tratta di un beb semplice ed accogliente, personale molto disponibile e gentile. Ci è stata prenotata una visita guidata dietro richiesta e siamo rimaste molto soddisfatte. La colazione potrebbe essere magari un pochino più ricca, ma i prodotti sono stati buoni e genuini.

Daniele ist ein hervorragender B&B-Gastgeber, aufmerksam und gibt gern Tipps und Informationen für einen guten Aufenthalt. Die Sassi fühlen sich wie ein lebendiges Museum an, wo immerzu etwas zu entdecken ist. In Daniele’s B&B ist man mittendrin (tolle Aussicht!), inspirierend und Daniele ist ein wirklicher Künstler, was teilweise im B&B zu besichtigen ist. Mein Frühstück mit frisch zubereiteten Bruschetta mit Kürbiskernen, Tomaten und Käse war einfach lecker.

A beautiful B&B experience

Daniele was a gracious host, providing a wonderful stay from start to finish, and is a very interesting person to talk to. The B&B itself is right in the heart of Matera, offering breathtaking views of the ancient city right outside its door and near to the main pedestrian street. Our room was comfortable, with a balcony providing photo-worthy views and a bathroom designed with attention to detail – complete with heated towel rack, good amount of counter space, and nice lighting. We were given a choice of a savoury or sweet breakfast, and opted for the typically Italian choice of sweet – a freshly made croissant from a local bakery, served alongside a selection of biscuits, all delicious. The hotel does not offer parking on-site. If you are driving to Matera, be warned that there are sections of town only permitted vehicles are allowed to enter; these are monitored by cameras, so you will get a ticket. It can prove very tricky to find a parking spot near the hotel, as traffic is extremely heavy and spots limited near the pedestrian-only area of town. Once you find a spot, I’d suggest leaving the car for the duration of your stay and walking if you are able.

Great location to be based in Matera

Excellent location a very short easy walk in from the Piazza Pascoli close to the info office. We were in the larger room of the two which had a brilliant view over the sassi from the room and balcony. The room was plain but comfortable. Daniele was very helpful and communication was excellent prior to our stay giving clear directions on where to park and how to locate the property and he went the extra mile to book us dinner at a restaurant that provided gluten free food. Happy to recommend and we loved our two night stay in Matera.

Rundum toll. Der Service war excellent und sehr zuvorkommend. Die Lage nahezu perfekt mitten im Sassi. Das Zimmer mit super Ausblick, kleinen Balkon und top Betten. Alles sehr sauber und funktional. A hidden gem.
