Domenico was very friendly and we liked Matera a lot! We spend two nights and we had to ask more toilet paper because nobody didn’t come to check if there was enough. Nobody cleaned the room while we stayed there. Room was very nice. Wi-fi didn’t work.

The property is in a great location on the edge of the historic old town with views just outside of the valley and caves as well as the historic church of San Pietro Caveoso with the Casa Grotta. Breakfast was very good also. Just bear in mind that the property is in the city restricted zone so we had to park around 0.5 miles away and walk with our bags - would have been good if the property description mentioned this as well as pointing out where you can park. Maters is a fantastic little place - thoroughly recommend a visit.

Nice place in the center of the old town. A couple of maintenance issues that were brought to light but no effort to fix them. Our host was super nice and met us at the bus stop to take us to the property.

Tutto perfetto, professionalità, gentilezza e disponibilità su tutto. Praticamente Claudio oltre a darci il soggiorno ci ha pianificato l'itinerario con dei suggerimenti che solo chi è del posto conosce, tipo la visita guidata della città ai posti dove mangiare al parcheggio che a Matera serve. Se dovessi tornare a Matera sicuramente tornerei a soggiornare qua. Grazie mille di tutto

Ottima soluzione per visitare i sassi di Matera

Il b&b si trova nella zona dei sassi, in una posizione molto suggestiva che offre una vista incantevole. I gestori sono molto ospitali e cordiali. Andrebbe solo migliorata l'aerazione della stanza.

très bien situé en bordure du sasso caveoso

maison de 3 chambres très bien située . pas de petit dej possible ni aux alentours car tout était fermé le lundi matin et pour cause de préparation au G20 pas de navette jusqu'à l'hotel .parking via saragat à 10,50€ les 24 heures dans la ville nouvelle (20' de trajet) avec navette a 1,5€ qui normalement arrive à 50M de la maison . sinon site remarquable

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I am uncertain as to why hotels.com has this hotel listed, since they report themselves as a guest house and not a hotel. Apparently there are only certain times that you are allowed to check in to the property, and then the guest house closes for the night. Because the only information provide to us was that check in was 1500-1800, but there was no closing time, we had no idea that upon our arrival the property would be closed. And as there was another guest outside, he was not informed of this bizarre policy either. Any guest house / hotel should provide customer service first and foremost. This was completely lacking from this property. Guests should always come first and to close before 2 guests arrive is unacceptable. And then to blame the customers is equally appalling. This property should be stricken from your list as a 3-hour window for check in is ridiculous. The property also stated that these rules were transmitted to us, but that is inaccurate as the only information we received was the check in time, with NO indication that the hotel would close for the night at 1900. A decent hotel would have staff available to check in guests at any time. Since we were delayed and could not make their time, we had to scramble to find a place to stay that night, when in reality we had already paid for a place and were denied entry. This is a breach in trust that we as travelers place in a property when we make a reservation, and is really quite unacceptable behavior.

Ottima struttura! Caratteristica, accogliente, spaziosa. Atmosfera unica e suggestiva. Posizione centralissima e comoda per la vicinanza con tutti i punti strategici della città e servizi. The property was very basic but clean. It was a bit of a challenge getting to Matera from Naples, so we weren’t sure about our arrival. Check in was at 3:00, and we got there around 2:40. No one was in the office, and we waited with our luggage by the door next to the street until someone finally arrived for 3;00. It was quite hot standing in the sun waiting. Loaded down with luggage in a city of steps, we did not want to go climbing hauling backpacks and suitcases. Frankly, I was beginning to panic. Matera is beautiful, so it was all worth while!!

Posizione e vista PERFETTI

Struttura incastonata nei Sassi, a metà strada tra Caveoso e Barisano, perfetta per girare a piedi e godere di panorami eccezionali semplicemente attraversando la via principale (e unica) che unisce i Sassi. A due passi ci sono tutti i servizi di cui si può avere necessità. Per arrivare al "Piano" bastano 5 minuti a piedi e completare così la visita della città vecchia. Mimmo è un eccellente padrone di casa, saprà dispensare consigli utili e rivolgetevi a lui per qualsiasi dubbio su escursioni, ristoranti e quant'altro. Le pulizie sono impeccabili, un plauso anche a Bettina! Consigliatissimo.
