"The cabin was perfect for a weekend stay for Oktoberfest in Helen. It’s really close to Helen and several hikes. The firepit and precut wood were perfect and we enjoyed them each night of our stay. We had everything we needed and were comfortable. We did not cook so I can’t speak to the condition of kitchen amenities, however, all the basics were there and in perfect condition. The bedrooms are together at one end of the hallway so keep that in mind of anyone in your party requires extreme privacy. We didn’t hear each other at all but I thought it was worth mentioning. The only thing that was even kind of an issue was the view. The pictures in the listing must have been taken shortly after the cabin was built as the trees do not block the view in the listing photos. In actuality, the grass in the backyard has been extended so there’s mush more useable space which was great. The trees have grown significantly since those photos and the view as shown is no longer available. It would cost a fortune to have the trees topped so we understand and it didn’t bother us but if you’re going for THAT view, plan accordingly. The cabin is really lovely and perfect for couples, friend groups, or small families. You can’t beat the location and you won’t regret it."
