"Very bad hotel…. Every thing is falling a part…. Terrible maintenance…. Furniture old and obsolete …. I rent the room at Laguna Hotel Bacalar for 5 days…. I did not stayed there…. Only for a few minutes…. I grab my belongings and I left to rent another room some where else near by (Casa Arabe) I don’t understand how the City authorities allowed the hotel to operate under this circumstances…. I paid a lot for this hotel that is not worthed…. I don’t know how Expedia is willing to rent rooms for them….Extremely super UGLY property. Francisco Saldana"

"We loved our stay at BoaBoa. Our hut named "Colibri" was private and spacious with all the necessary amenities. We really appreciated the staff, who were helpful and proactive even prior to our visit. While on site, they communicated daily via WhatsApp to inquire about our needs and comfort. The property is on the outskirts of town and is best accessed with a vehicle and you can hear the highway from the property. We enjoyed being next to the lagoon: sunrises, swimming, and kayaking. We would definitely stay again!"

"This was a great stay. Great location, street parking nearby was not too hard to find. Lots of great restaurants nearby and a short walk to the lagoon. Many great spots around the property to relax including the roof. Enjoyed the hotel cats (it factored into our decision to book there) and the little touches the hotel includes in the experience. "
