Great location and breakfast. Only thing is that they lock the gate and you have to call or ring the door bell after 11p approx which sometimes can take a little while.

A quiet, clean, and spacious room. A comfortable bed. An excellent breakfast both mornings. Francisco (at the front desk) spoke excellent English and gave great advice for restaurants and activities. When I return to Bacalar I will stay here again.

A nice sized clean room. The breakfast was buffet style. Eggs were served in different styles daily. Plenty of choices for most people. Walking distance to both the ADO bus and Centro. Plenty of outdoor areas. Lots of table and chairs and loungers. The pool was too cold for me but the weather had been cool so maybe on a warmer day. Lake access was only a few hundred meters away at a free pier by the Eco Parque entrance.

Great little hotel! The breakfast was fabulous! The staff was very friendly and very helpful. It is also in a great location. This hotel is an outstanding value. We would stay there again.

Hotel staff were very kind, welcoming, and helpful. Location is conveniently located near the lagoon’s shallow end — perfect for swimming. As such, the properly is popular, busy and slightly loud in the morning as guest check out.

Great find in Bacalar

We booked a last minute trip to Bacalar, and it was just fantastic. The hotel was located well, close to the lagoon, and lots of restaurants within a quick walk. The staff was very welcoming, and gave great advice on tours and sites to see. We hope to come back soon, Bacalar is a true gem.

We really enjoyed our stay at hotel Tuparenda. Staff were friendly and helped us with directions to our excursion. The room has a full bathroom and A/C. We would definitly stay here again. As of April 2024, the google street view is 7yrs old and doesn't show what the place really look like

Good place

Nice hotel. Good host. Clean room but you can still smell the humidity a bit. We had the windows and fan open. The breakfast is really good. Good location too. If i return to Bacalar, i would not mind sleeping there again

I had a great experience with this hotel, the staff is very nice don’t have an elevator but I’d only one floor up and they take your luggage. Breakfast was great. The only thing is the shower needs to be replaced but water is hot
