Mockingbird Pointe is a quiet secluded 1/2 acre tropical waterfront paradise in the heart of the Florida Keys with private heated and/or chilled 16' x 32' in ground cement swimming pool with splash deck custom Tiki hut and spectacular tropical landscaping. This two bedroom, two bath home features a newly remodeled kitchen and dining area and updates through-out the home with new bathroom updates, furniture, artwork and interior finishes. Private office is located off of main bedroom. Wrap around screened porches overlooking Sombrero Lagoon and your private 85 foot protected dock with lighted fish cleaning station, underwater fish lighting, bait freezer and outdoor shower. Gentle, easy to navigate steps to the living areas. The NEW kitchen includes all the cookware and tools to satisfy the chief in you. Architecturally designed Cyprus beamed construction makes this place really special for your perfect vacation getaway. French door refrigerator, stove and washer and dryer. Eight Bikes, 3 kayaks, bait freezer and fishing poles provided for guests use. Direct deep water boating access to Atlantic with no bridges and no tidal navigation issues even for deep draft vessels.

Great vacation location with handy travel and check-in information provided prior to arrival. The house was wonderful with clean and well-maintained grounds and pool. Views were spectacular and the covered tiki was a welcoming outdoor element. We will return to Mockingbird Pointe again in the future.

Relaxing Retreat

Our stay was amazing! The house is wonderful! It is situated among large trees and lush landscaping making it feel private and secluded, but is also close to stores and restaurants. The wrap around porch and pool area were very relaxing. We would definitely stay here again. Philip and Linda are great host!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The house and pool were clean and the outdoor area was beautiful. We had a great time fishing off the dock, swimming, kayaking and just relaxing. We would definitely return!!

Great place to stay

Great place to stay and the owners are very nice. This place is unique because of the nice green gardens and screened in wrap around porch. 3rd time staying here and hope to stay here again someday!

Awesome place to unwind & enjoy Marathon

This property was so wonderful!! Can't wait to stay here again. So peaceful and quiet (except for the dirt movers across the water). Very comfortable house and so close to many restaurants and activities!!

Resort Vibe, just relax vacation spot!

We loved everything about this vacation home. Well taken care of with plenty of things to do. Fished off the dock, caught some neat fish, saw manatees swimming next to the dock, quick kayak trip, bicycle ride to the beach a few times, and lots of pool time too. So convenient to the stores and great restaurants in the area. The house had everything you need for amenities. Amazing 8 day stay of enjoying this tropical private retreat. Gorgeous property inside and outside and would stay again. Don't pass up booking this Marathon property. Hidden Gem.

Private resort

I’ve been renting in the Keys for 30+ years and have never been so impressed with a property. A house with soul and a beautifully landscaped, private oasis with access to everything Marathon has to offer.

Our Private Resort

That's what it felt like, our own private resort. The abundant flora and fauna had us totally isolated from neighboring properties yet we still had a lovely and expansive view of the lagoon where we saw dolphins and manatees. The home was lovely both inside and out. The house description did not do it justice, it was even more beautiful than listed. We had use of numerous outdoor equipment, washer/dryer, well equipped kitchen, and a very, very relaxing pool and garden area. I can not see another rental experience ever being as nice as this. Oh, and communication with the owners was very quick. "Thank you" to the home owners.

A little slice of paradise

You'll feel like you are at your very own mini resort. Great location and perfect set up for adults and kids alike. The owners checked on us soon after we arrived. They have thought of everything to make for a perfect stay.

Great vacation spot

Loved the location of this home and the outdoor things such as the kayaks and fishing gear was a great touch !! Loved to fish off the docks and enjoy the water view from the hammock. Wasn’t over touristy but close enough to go to other spots and come back to the privacy our home and backyard provided.

Staying at the Mockingbird Lane property is truly like staying at your own little private resort. The property is beautifully landscaped and the house and screened porch met our needs perfectly! The Burkarts are gracious and accommodating hosts! Minus the weather (Hurricane Milton) we could not have loved our stay more! We will definitely visit Mockingbird Pointe again!

Great Vacation

We had a great Spring Break at your home. Thank you for sharing. The location was fantastic. The kids loved riding bikes and we all enjoyed fishing right off the dock catching tons of fish. The pool was also fantastic.

Everything we hoped for!!

This home and location was everything we had hoped it would be! Beautiful, comfortable, relaxing. We enjoyed the screened in porch, relaxing with coffee in the mornings and with a cocktail in the evenings. We enjoyed many hours in the and around the pool, and especially watching the many lizards coming out to win themselves poolside. Biking and kayaking were also activities we enjoyed when we were out exploring the area. Highly recommend this home and these hosts!!

Perfect Location

This property was in the ideal location. Very close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and activities. The landscaping around the house made it feel very private but also had great views from the back of the house. The pool area was wonderful. Great place to relax. Inside of the house was comfortable and cozy. I would definitely stay here again.

Tropical Paradise

The house and property is amazing, a tropical paradise! The landscaping and pool area is top notch with amazing views, plus lots of wild life (manatees at the dock and iguanas, lizards all over the property). The house is phenomenal and the screened in porch is the best!

Fabulous property for our vacation

This was our first trip to the keys and this home was perfect. Property was easy to access, clean and had everything we needed. Pool was perfectly heated for night time swimming. Caught many different types of fish off of dock including Snook and Tarpon. Also had daily visits from Manatees which was magical. Would not hesitate to book this property again.

We loved the house and location. We felt like we were at our own tropical resort. Private and relaxing. We had plenty of room to dock our rented boat. We saw Manatees off the dock!! The pool was so warm and enjoyable! We are hoping to book again in the future!

Tropical keys paradise

This house was way more beautiful than the pictures could show! It was like our own private resort. Thoughtfully equipped with comfortable furniture and beds everywhere. We love Marathon and the house was in a perfect location. The owners were prompt in helpful with any questions asked. My favorite place was sitting in the pool under the umbrella. Loved our stay!
