"We had a great time at Gary's house over New Year's. The proximity to the beach was what drew us to the property--only a block from the ocean in our favorite quiet neighborhood of Manzanita, just down the street from Nehalem State Park. We enjoyed the dog-friendliness of the house, and the living room with smart TV and comfy couch were great. We also enjoyed having a pool table in the great room, and we spent many hours upstairs playing games. We hope to come back sometime soon."

"Really enjoyed a couple of nights at Rivendell. The house was cozy and great for a few people and a dog. There was plentiful wood for the stove, the hot tub was FANTASTIC and we all slept great in the quiet, calm environment. One short block to access the beach and just a very short drive or easy walk into town. Kitchen had what we needed. "

"The weather couldn’t have been worse, our host was very responsive, unfortunately she wasn’t able to do much, we had NO power for 3/4’s of our stay to include no heat or hot water. WE MADE IT! Thank goodness for the wood fireplace, we had to buy 50 worth of wood, but we kept warm AND a charcoal BBQ in the garage, we were able to cook….again we had to buy charcoal….but AGAIN we made it. It was a great adventure."

"I just can't say enough positive things about this home. Cleanliness was the best I've ever seen and we have rented many properties over the years in various locations. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with knives that were actually sharp and cookware that allowed us to cook extensive holiday meals. The furniture was very nice and the bedding was crisp and clean like a high end hotel. The owner even reached out to us with concerns about an upcoming storm and delivered portable batteries in case we lost power in the storm. Fortunately that didn't happen but we were prepared just in case. We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at this house!"

Vacasa texted us an incorrect code to get into the house (which sounds like a recurring problem given a prior review indicating the same issue), but we were able to call and got a representative to assist quickly.
