"The complex was new, modern and nice. Limited lounge chairs. Only 1 key for our condo. There were no instructions for anything posted in the condo though. Had to call management to turn on hot water heater. We had to ask and then pay for drinkable water. The sheets were not on the beds. We had to make our beds after arriving late evening. An odd banging noise was heard 24/7 coming from an AC duct. I would recommend this place for the price/value. IT was clean and comfortable"

"Luego de una corta estadía de 4 noches, puedo recomendar este resort. Las habitaciones amplias y limpias, y las camas muy cómodas, pude descansar a gusto. El staff muy amable siempre en especial Luis de Expedia y Santa en el pool bar fueron muy amables, al igual que Sariannys en Recepcion fueron de mucha ayuda. Las piscinas me encantaton, siempre limpias. La playa estuvo hermosa, un dìa con poco sargazo y los demàs dìas muy limpia. La comida en los buffets Las Torres y Behique muy sabrosa, al igual que en La Uva me encantò la parrillada. La única observación que tuve que puede mejorar es la música en las pool bars ya que era aburrida y el volumen muy bajo. Por todo lo demás quedamos muy complacidos."

"Everything about this resort was top notch. The premier package was such a great deal- the food, drinks, activities, and space was all worth it. We had friends over on the palace side (for families) and it was also amazing to have access to the amenities there. You never have to leave the resort unless you want to do an excursion, but they’ll pick you up in the lobby!!! Can’t say enough good things about this trip. And for sure get a shuttle/ride from the airport to resort and back and give yourself at least 3 hours!"

"Todo estaba limpio y hermoso! Buena comida , pero el aire de la habitación FATAL no enfriaba nada, llame a service desk y me dijeron van por ahi y nunca llegaron , tuve que dormir asi con mis 2 menores hasta el otro dia que nos cambiaron la habitacion! Pero todo lo demas fenomenal"

"While Zel had some positives, our overall experience was disappointing. We were not given the two-bed room we requested and had to settle for one bed and a pullout couch. The dining experience was inconsistent, with buffet closures and limited communication from staff. Palma Real next door offered a much better buffet, and Volcan was the only restaurant that consistently stood out. Our butler, Frank, was very helpful and made the experience smoother. Despite being marketed as a wellness resort, activities were limited and the resort lacked energy, especially in the evenings. Guests looking for nightlife will likely be disappointed, though Fun Republic provided some entertainment options nearby. The resort felt more Mediterranean than Caribbean, lacking much of the local Dominican atmosphere. Zel is best suited for travelers seeking a quiet, relaxing getaway rather than a balance of relaxation and fun. Overall, the resort has potential, but it still feels like a property that is working through growing pains."
