Malvarrosa Beach is a popular local spot where you can swim in warm water, wander along the oceanfront esplanade and enjoy a friendly game of soccer or volleyball on the sand. The famous Valencian writer Vicente Blasco-Ibáñez lived in a villa in Malvarrosa. The villa and surrounding gardens have now been reopened as a museum dedicated to his manuscripts, photographs and personal belongings.

Malvarrosa Beach is located 7 kilometres (4 miles) east of Valencia’s Old Town. Reach the oceanfront in just 35 minutes by bus, tram or metro from the city centre. Free parking is available on the streets that run parallel to the beach. Malvarrosa Beach offers a wheelchair accessible walkway and bathing assistance at the first aid station.
