You can easily stroll hand-in-hand to explore ancient temples like Wat Phra Singh or find a quiet cafe for an afternoon coffee. Many boutique hotels here are converted traditional Thai houses, offering a unique and charming experience.

Solo travellers often find the area just east of the Old City, around the Tha Phae Gate, to be an excellent base.
