"Thank you Serena and Alec for our lovely stay with you in Penzance.The annex was so well equipped with everything we needed plenty of information about the locality and welcoming extras such as milk bread and butter coffee tea sugar and milk.I would highly recommend this property to stay at as the location is so central to all of the local attractions.The hosts went above and beyond even collecting myself and my daughter from the train station and dropping us off this morning.We will definitely be returning."

"We had a rattery window in room 18, and the showerhead was very loose and kept slipping down. The golden years menu was 10/10. And they allowed us too leave our luggage until our ferry."

"Room was spacious and clean, but tired. Shower is a stand in a bathtub situation. Windows very dirty, and bed was a big, but needed a little TLC. Fine, but 2/3star at best. Breakfast was good, cooked breakfast very good. Service was impeccable. Bar service slow as the Batman appeared to be in the restaurant also. Accept this is Penzance, not Paris, so I’m satisfied, but not blown away, for over £200 a night."

"The staff were amazing - welcoming, friendly, cheerful, just lovely to be around. The food was amazing. The 4 cheese tortellini in particular was out of this world. The only issue I had was the striped carpet on the stairs. For some reason, it was really disorienting. I thought it was just me (I recently got new vari-focal glasses) but my husband thought the same."

"Pedney Shepherd's Hut is located about 50 yards off the A30, around 6 minutes drive from the centre of Newlyn. It is set back from the road up a few steep steps which led into s semi-tropical small garden. Occasionally some traffic noise can be heard, but it didn't disturb me and I'm quite sensitive to traffic noise. The fixture and fittings at Pedney are first class. Is everything brand new? It looks it. In particular, I loved the shower - hot and cold water immediately available and at a high pressure. The bed was comfortable and there was some room for storage. The kitchen area had everything one needs to prepare food on holiday. The outdoor area had several tables and chairs, and a barbecue if one fancied doing one - we didn't. During our stay Cornwall was, like the rest of the U.K., experiencing a heatwave. The location of Pedney gave some wlecome cooling relief to the heat. I've stayed at a Stein's Shepherd's Hut in Padstow last year and enjoyed it. It was well-appointed - Pedney is even better. For anyone who hasn't stayed in a Shepherd's Hut the clue is in the name. Don't expect laods of space, and if you're claustrophobic it's not for you. For one or two people (and a dog) I don't think you'd be disappointed."

"Hotel was lovely and in good location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean . We very much enjoyed our breakfasts and also had dinner there both nights which was delicious."

"A little B&B run by a nice couple. Super convenient to the Penzance rail station. (Literally 2 minutes on foot) Great value, great breakfast. In my room the ceiling fan was a bit wonky, but otherwise no problems. I would definitely consider staying again."

"We travelled with our dogs and had a great welcoming from the host who seemed like she would do anything to help. Location is closely to the town centre and parking closeby was easy. Breakfast was brilliant and very fresh definitely set us up for our day. Bed was comfortable so we had a goodnight sleep"

"This place is great!! It is very convenient to the train and bus station. The view is incredible. We stayed for 5 nights and used local transportation to get around. Local public transportation was very easy and reasonable. We enjoyed the coastal hiking trails to St. Michael's Mount and to Mousehole. We used the bus and train to travel to places like St. Ives and Land's End and Porthcourno. Simon, our host was very responsive each time we had a question. The property was very clean. Check in and check out was very easy. We asked to store our luggage after checking out and Simon was able to accommodate our request. We would definitely stay here again if we have the chance to return to Penzance."
