This is a typical old style hotel for an urban centre in Spain. Small room but quite adequately equipped and appeared to be recently renovated. The location is excellent and it was accessible vis a bus or walking (40 minutes) to the train station. I would stay there again.

I booked a night this hotel, but I did not end up sleeping there. The images and description on Expedia was not what I experienced. They did not have a lobby as shown online. The beds looked like they had the same blankets on them since 1950. The beds did not look like something I would ever sleep in.

The place is super well located right on La Gran Via and that makes it a bit loud, but if you keep all shutters down will be better. It’s an old place where U can stay without great expectations, staff is friendly and I can’t tell U about the amenities because I didn’t use it. Ideal for a short stay no more than 2 days.

Great staff, great location.

In the midst of a two-month European ramble, the Rincon was a terrific spot for my Madrid stay. About a one-minute walk from the metro station at Plaza Espana, on the Gran Via, the location is absolutely terrific. Check-in was a breeze (front desk is on the 6th floor, just left of the elevator), and the staff there were very nice and helpful, their english was much better than my español. The room was very good for the price, go with a balcony street room. Overall, a very good place to stay in Madrid.

Very convenient. Just along Gran Via! It's where the action is. Lovely, lively place to be. We have great view from the balcony. Wide space. Great food selection for breakfast. Top with great view of the city as you dine.
