Fantastic location

Great apartment! You couldn’t ask for a better location. Metro a few steps away, and shopping and dinning all within walking distance. Only extremely small critiques was lack of shampoo/conditioner and poor water pressure. Both would never impact my recommendation to stay in this fabulous apartment

Perfect location and cant be better and is walking distance to most every thing. Great restaurants around. Nice and clean place and has an elevator. Highly recommend.

The apartment was in excellent condition with new appliances, bathrooms, and beds. Location was excellent as well. A stone's throw away from pretty much anything in the entire city center! First set of towels did not appear to be clean (noticeable stains), but that got remedied quickly by the team thankfully.

The apartment could not be better situated - right in the centre - on a pedestrianised shopping street - yet no noise in the bedrooms. A compact compartment, all very clean. We ate out all the time. But if we had been dining in could have done with a sharp knife - and a corkscrew.

Location location location

Amazing location and fantastic property. Lacked the basic amenities like coffee, salt, etc. But location makes up for that. One thing to note is that there is 5-10 minutes of walk to reach the apartment and that you cannot drive up to the apartment.

Not as advertised - WORST HOSTS EVER

Great location and clean but many things lacking from the very beginning. A few things could be written off as not out of the ordinary (unable to check-in early, not a big deal) but an unfamiliar app had to be downloaded and a code (two in fact) had to be used to first get into the building (that one didn't work, luckily someone was leaving as we arrived) and then the 2nd code to unlock the apartment. To avoid this we just used the keys the rest of the week. There was no toaster or coffee maker or ironing board (as advertised) The washer worked but the clothes dryer (assumed to be part of the washer (as a combo) was only it blows warm air during the final spin then you take the clothes out and hang dry them. This is NOT a clothes dryer as advertised and the MAIN reason we rented and paid considerably more for the apartment. We didn't get any of the above amenities and it took 4 days to figure out the wifi. the hosts do not speak English (which i don't fault) but each contact took over 24 hours, a phone call was hung-up on and the last message was never responded to. The dishwasher seemed to wash the dishes but stops and shows a fault code long before the cycle is done. There was one garbage bag, enough liquid soap to wash a few dishes by hand and maybe 2 loads in the dishwasher and that was all. no laundry soap, no coffee, no salt, nothing to get you even started on your first day which i'm sure is how some places do it but not what was expected. Worst hosts ever.

Large 2 bedroom apartment in the center of Madrid, right across the street from Sol metro (which serves every line in Madrid). Perfect place for sightseeing as you can walk or take metro/train anywhere. Plenty of restaurants/bars/stores immediately outside. Modern style apartment with new furnishings, A/C throughout. We enjoyed our stay and would return here in the future.

Heart of Madrid with easy access to walking the city; but lacking some of the essentials for rentals

The apartment is clean and well located. The kitchen has nice appliances but has only settings for 3-4 people and very few cooking items and no coffee maker. So cooking in is not possible. Also, only 3 towel sets were provided for 4 guests on the reservation. The center of Madrid can be loud but the bedrooms are set back, quiet and comfortable. However, the no party rule is not enforced in the building and, for us, there were parties upstairs til 3am every night. Also, jack hammering construction started inside the building between 8-9am each of 2 mornings. So, come for the great location, but don't plan to eat in or sleep much.

Very Nice Apartment, Great Location, Few Details Missing

My wife and I recently stayed here for two nights. We were very pleased with the apartment it was a very nice two bedroom two baths with nice hot water. It was very nice and clean and had a good wifi connection. However, when we arrived we had to go to another location to pick up the keys. Secondly, when we arrived the apartment did not have a hair dryer, coffee maker, coffee, tea, paper towels, etc. We called the manager and they were able to provide us with a hair dryer on the same day but the coffee maker, coffee, tea, etc. did arrive. Fortunately across the street is Corte & Ingles a large supermarket in the basement of their retail store that we were able to go and get certain items. We would recommend this location but do hope that management provides a coffee maker, coffee, etc.

My husband and two daughters stayed here and absolutely loved the location of this beautiful apartment. It was clean and spacious with modern appliances. The owners were extremely helpful in arranging transportation as well as helping us get tickets to museums. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip back to Madrid!

We had only one set of keys for the first 23 days of 29 day rental. After much complaining a second set was delivered after 20 days. When we arrived there was major (and well known) construction occurring downstairs and next door. There was use of a stone mason power saw which made the apartment uninhabitable. There was NEVER enough blankets for the three (3) beds. We did not receive linens for the 3rd bed (couch) until 20 days later and too late). Most importantly, we also never received blankets or duvet for the couch/bed, forcing us to use coats for blankets. The owner also advertised that the apartment was well lite and had three (3) Terraces. However, all 3 doors/windows were locked. This was misleading but what made it horrible was that there were both inner and outer shutters. The outer shutters could not be accessed as the doors/windows were locked. Yet the outer shutters would blow in the wind and block the view and sunlight. It was noisy and caused darkness in the apartment. A review posted by another renter for the offered but never made available second apartment, made the same comment that the owner was unresponsive and not available. We were advised incorrectly that we should use the taxi/car service offered by the owner and her agents as it was cheaper and faster. This was also incorrect as our departure and others guests used taxis that were less expensive but, most importantly, were picked up and delivered at the apartment building door which one could not do in a hired car. This saved at least a 3-4 block walk using the taxi instead of the car service.

We had a few problems during our stay. First of all, we had a very bad Friday night, with a lot of noise from the upper apartment (10 people shouting and stamping on the floor). We complained to the responsible but to no avail. Then, we had no coffeemaker since the one provided did not work on the induction stove. We could not get one... There was only one small towel + 1 medium/large towel per person for the 10 days stay.... In addition, the entrance door was always open which is quite dangerous at night. Notwithstanding this, the place is nice, conveniently located but we do not recommend it because the price we pay is high but the service is very low.

Very nice apartment in the perfect location

Location is in the middle af Madrid activities  The pictures and location are accurately described (The front entrance has changed somewhat during a previous rennovation.)  The unit is comfortably decorated with nice furniture, good beds and nice linens. WiFi was strong and consistent and all major appliances worked as intended.  The cook top is an induction unit and only accepts induction cookware, which is supplied. We welcomed the air handling units as the weather was cool/cold during our visit. The location is perfect for exploring Madrid, by foot or .. steps away from Puerto del Sol with metro lines, bus lines and even a portal for Renfe. We recommend  Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid, the Zoo, the Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, The National Archaeological Museum of Spain, the Palace and the many parks .. all accessible by Metro .. from Puerto del Sol. And the amazing El Corte Ingles shopping giant is so close .. just cross Calle Preciados and decend one level to the Supermercado.  Continue on down the steps to enter the SOL Metro Station.  While we chose to cook all our meals, there are many choices for dine in .. take away .. just steps from this location.  Entering Metro through the Puerto del Sol entrances (not Preciados),  metro and tourist maps are available in the main metro lobby as is tourist info. Money matters were handled efficiently through HomeAway.  We were met at the apartment, so we didn't have to travel to another location to pick up keys. Any maintenance issues were handled efficiently.  Email worked well, so we could be out and about. We would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.
