"This place has it all. Great care from the staff, amazing location, amazing amenities. It was everything we wanted and more."

"Tranquil place to stay close to the highway however, not much is happening in about 30 min"

"We enjoyed our stay at Tropical Villa. The villa is located uphill in a quiet neighbourhood and it was lovely to sit outside on an evening looking out to sea and watching the stars come out. We particularly appreciated the pool and the parasols (three) in the pool area. The villa was very well stocked and comfortable."

"A beautiful villa with stunning views and wonderful sunsets. High quality and spacious with everything you need for a great self catering break. Please note this is a remote location so you will need a car."

"Very comfortable home in a small community. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our time here."

"The house was spotless and a good location to get on highway. It was near the airport and could hear planes landing and taking off but did not hear planes after 11 p m. The owner lives in lower level and was very nice but did not speak much English and I do not speak Portuguese so checking in was a little complicated. I liked the location it was not as busy as Funchal and overlooked the mountains. The island is spectacular and would definitely recommend a stay on this island. "

"It was a really lovely villa, with a great host."

"Very nice statt in a perfekt house, very comfortable"

"High quality villa with a well stocked kitchen - everything you could conceivably need. Excellent view and amazing garden. Location is quiet with minimal local facilities. Car essential."

"Our host met us at the house and gave us a great orientation. She answered all our questions and gave us great tips as to where to dine."
