"The breakfast was first rate, the cooked breakfast was just enough and cooked to perfection. The staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful which greatly improved the whole experience. The building internally would benefit from a little attention eg. Some flaking paintwork in hallway, but nothing offensive, and did not affect our stay at all. The room was clean and well presented, so glad we upgraded to Deluxe double. Noticed a little black mould on the grout around bath, but it was clear that the bathroom had been thoroughly cleamed. We loved staying at the Macdonald Linden, and would happily recommend it to other travellers We hope to return soon. Great base for exploring the beauty of Northumberland. An altogether great weekend."

"Superb location and venue. Delightful pub with top cask ale and the food was sublime. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff were highly friendly and attentive. The only negative was the electric shower which was very temperamental and low pressure. A real treat though overall."

"Lovely accommodation and area, very cosy, some of the appliances were a little difficult to use, cooker took quite a while to cook things so with a couple of kids wanting different teas it took a little longer and cold tap took a little while to get cold but overall had a lovely time and would stay again"

"The cottage was very comfortable and cosy surrounded by fields and woodland, very quiet. The owner was very kind and checked with us to make sure everything was alright. The location was within easy distance of surrounding attractions and towns: Cragside, Alnwick, Wallington and coastal areas. The only issue we had was finding the cottage, our sat nav took us to the wrong turning, however we did find it and apparently it happens a lot."

"Great location to explore Northumberland. The static caravan isn't a lodge and it is starting to show signs of age with parts looking tired and beds uncomfortable. Cold in the winter months but we did go in December. Strong smell of dogs, granted it is a dog friendly accommodation, but not great if you don't have any. Hot tub is alright. Good hot water and shower. Could do with a few cupboards emptying of excess pint glasses so you can put your food and supplies in. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Croft. A couple of things we would have liked would be blinds on the windows that closed in the main room and blinds in the smaller rooms also a hair dryer would have been good. Very nice location road busy at peak times but soon dies down at night time. it is a good base for travelling with the coastal route and bamburgh all in easy reach , needs a bit of a spruce up inside in some parts but had everything required and was clean and tidy."
