"Great little stay , very busy little pub ….but ..the room amazingly well insulated from noise !
Fantastic breakfast !
Friendly and attentive staff and overall great feel to the pub.."
"Great room which was plush and spotless, great hosts who were friendly and attentive and a great location to walk into the town for an evening bar meal, a short walk to the coast and beach or for sightseeing in the area. Breakfast was superb. Will certainly be returning. "
"I loved this opportunity to stay in Ingram, at the East entrance to the Northumberland National Park. This B&B is luxurious, quiet and lovely, with great food and atmosphere. There is easy access to beautiful walks in and above the Breamish Valley.
I would definitely stay here again."
"Place was clean.
Bedroom was small, the bed was small and a bit short. Disappointed not to have a kettle and water in the room as I have many medications to take.
Breakfast was excellent.
The evening meal wasn't that nice but this is a different business to the B & B side.
Having to pay £150 deposit for the evening meal I felt was wrong especially as we were booked in as staying guests. The service charge of £31 was also wrong as the meal and menu wasn't the best and we had to choose before...
"The room, staff and breakfast were excellent. However we chose this for its spa facilities. Unfortunately the steam room was out of service, and it only left a hot tub, small sauna and small pool which were busy due to selling of “spa days”. "

"A very nice hotel. Ian, the proprietor, welcomed me with tea and a scone. The room was comfortable and the breakfast could not have boin better. Plenty of choice.
Entry is up some stone steps, but I was ableto drive up to the top to unload. The view fro. My window was iconic. Overlooking Rothbury, a quintessential English village. Reasonable rates. Whats not to love. Try it, you wont be disappointed. "
Cosy well-furnished 3 double-bed house on edge of Northumberland National Park
10/10 Excellent
"Two retired couples, we have just had an excellent stay at Sawmill. Very comfortable, extremely spacious and yet cosy, the location and facilities of this property made it an excellent choice and it was perfect for our needs. The large dining kitchen is well supplied with all equipment and utensils that are often missing from rented accommodation. Excellent powerful downstairs shower, and both bathrooms kept in pristine condition. Plenty of hot water, and responsive heating system. Staircase up to first floor is fairly steep but the handrail on either side made it all very accessible for those with any mobility issues. Upstairs lounge has a beautiful view, and the balcony is a real bonus. Some have commented on the preponderance of owners’ items around the house but in our view this just added to the feeling of being in a home from home. What might be of interest to others booking Sawmill is that the Spar shop, a few minutes walk away, has an excellent range of goods. We had taken almost all our food and drink requirements with us but could easily have got what we needed just around the corner! Finally the level of communication from the host both before and during our stay was excellent. "
"The check in was fast and friendly, the room is lovely, with a nice view. There was quite a lot of noise from the street below early in the morning and the church bells were regular throughout the night. The breakfast was a good amount but lukewarm spolt the vibe. The price we paid , i think was high for this standard."
"Lovely stay at the Turks Head Rothbury. Staff were helpful and welcoming. We were in no. 5 the Garden room. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Bed so comfortable. Very dog friendly. "
