"Although we only had one night, it was New Year's Eve. The fireworks and party were just outside the hotel, but it was still nice and quiet in the room. Great location for everything walkable, including a great walking path on top of the old city wall. Great food options close any time of day."

One more thing — breakfast was absolutely delicious and always fresh. The woman working each morning was especially attentive and would make us the perfect coffee without us even having to ask. "What a charming place. I just loved it! It is a dream! Lots of green areas, parking is a plus, the place is ancient, but is very well kept! The outside is so charming. The room was like... going back in time! So charming! The room had air conditioning, and the bathroom is great, quite new. Staff is extremely friendly. We had dinner there one night and food is fantastic. Their Chianti wine is so good! And the best was when I was leaving and Signore Antonio spend some precious minutes chatting with me about the history of this place, which was just incredible to hear. The place has 800+ years, but it is very well maintained. This is a beautiful hotel! I could not enjoy the beautiful swiming pool because it is November and it is chilly, and so the pool was closed. But it is a beautiful swiming pool. This place is only 10 minutes from Lucca and around 20 minutes from Pisa. "
