"A modern room with a great location and, in this room anyway, a really nice view of the cathedral. Staff is also very good and I enjoyed the breakfast."

"Lovely place to stay, quiet and very comfortable room/bed. Staff are very nice and the breakfast is great …. Cooked or continental if you prefer, great coffee too! If you’ve travelled by car, this is definitely the place to stay….large, secure car park and about a 20 minute walk to centre of Canterbury. Taxi about £5.40 back from centre. Very recommended indeed."

"Lovely hotel with super friendly staff. We had a beautiful room with side sea view. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. The hotel is old but has a great cocktail bar and conservatory . I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Hotel has really nice views, plenty of walks along the beach to spend on a sunny day. Spa area is ok, but quite full on the weekend so be prepared :-) Two things that were a little bit of a let-down; for a hotel that prides itself as a spa hotel it should really have shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Especially after pool time. Second thing is that the TV is not smart - just something to keep in mind if you want to chill after a little swim around the pool. Otherwise hotel and amenities are pretty good. "

"Comfortable large double room, clean and fresh smelling. The on-suite was large and well set out. Only negative was a shower that barely sprayed, no pressure and the temperature fluctuated. Bed was very comfortable and the quilt heavy. Food was standard pub fare well cooked and delicious. The staff were were good, welcoming and helpful. Car parking was easy and secure. Will stay again if available."

"Rooms newly refurbished to a smart standard. Dining option felt overpriced for what we got and for what this hotel is really for (night before/ after ferry). Bathrooms could do with extra heating and a heated mirror."
