There’s nothing fancy about the place but if you love a clean room, super comfy bed, and great staff, this is the place to stay. The room is cute the way they decorated it and I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is aiming for a funky fun vibe. The central courtyard with plastic grass and ping pong was kitschy and had several guests hanging out. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom shower stall was in okay but not perfect condition. Overall it was a positive experience, although I prefer more polished hotels. The hotel charges for parking in their garage but free street parking on the same block was readily available.

The staff was nice and thankfully the beds were super comfortable. The building was in surprisingly good shape for its age but it did feel like the renovations were done cheaply so it wasn’t holding up well. The property felt old and abused. Neither of us minded this, the location was fine but for the price we just felt like we could have done better.

The rooms are fun, nicely upgraded and colorful, very clean, comfy beds. The only thing I’d suggest is towel bars or hooks in the bathroom area. Our room had none.

Artsy room. Great for social media people. Great size. Got it on a perfectly reasonable deal. Excellent location. If you get too close to the beach, you'll be stuck in traffic. This hotel is just outside of all that. But close enough to walk or use alternate transportation. Staff are kind and quick. Very mindful. A 1 year old can easily open the doors in the rooms. So if you have any young kids during your stay you'll have to be extra vigilant throughout the night even if the chain is on the door.

We had a great time, staff was accommodating, the room was clean and orderly, it was very close to lot of extracurricular activity and it was a great walk to the beach. I literally walked to the beach every single day in the morning and it was beautiful.

Very pleased with my stay at the Kinney, i stayed twice during my visit in California. The area is about a mile from venice and its very quiet and didn't see any sketchy people around which is the best bonus. Rooms are very nice and clean, staff is very nice as well. my first stay my fire alarm went off randomly but the employee comp'd my parking charge to make up for it so that was very nice of them. I DEFINITELY recommend staying here.

I love The Kinney! I stayed here one night five years ago and chose to rebook for a longer stay this past week. What a great location, quiet but so close to things to do. Comfy, clean... I have no complaints at all.
