The area surrounding this Hotel is rough, hence the complete plexiglass enclosure of the front desk. It is difficult to get past that, only one reason for it.
Little to no amenities. That's fine, not a deal- breaker. It was understood and there was no plan for hanging around on the property to avail ourselves of those that might be provided.
The real kicker for this property is the noise, if you are on a lower level. Those in the room above us? It sounded like a basketball game going on and we heard every little sound like they were in the room with us. It doesn't help that the newly put in, cheap, linoleum flooring throughout (no carpet) acts like a sounding board for everything. Could hear them breathing. All of this is bad as it is, but when the group comes back from a night out (as they are entitled to do) at 2:30 AM, and they are moving back and forth about the room for the better part of an hour, showering, talking, laughing, dropping phones or brushes or shoes, or whatever...it is hard to ignore the poor quality of the construction and plan for sound (FYI, Tile was not a good choice). It was extremely bad! Extremely! Worse than any apartment I've ever lived in. I did not sleep after that. Kinda ruins it wouldn't you say?
I won't stay here again. No incentive. It isn't cheap enough to justify. Nor would I recommend it to anyone. Too many other, better options in the area at a price not far exceeding that of Hollywood Inn's.
