Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn future guests. My family and I stayed here for a week and paid nearly $6,000. Looking back, it was one of the biggest disappointments of our trip.
The main reason I booked this property was the advertised parking. What the listing doesn’t disclose is that the parking space only fits a very small car. Families often rent SUVs or larger vehicles, so this should have been clearly stated. I had to spend hours to find parking each day.
The listing also advertises three bedrooms, but one is an attic with no air conditioning and such a low ceiling that you must bend to reach the bed. The attached bathroom has a cabinet directly above the toilet, and several members of my family bumped their heads using it.
I reported these issues on the first day. Customer service promised a $100 rebate, which was insignificant compared to what I paid, but I accepted it in good faith. The rebate was never honored.
Checkout was equally disappointing. Just after 11:00 a.m., while we were finishing packing, someone claiming to be the manager called and demanded that we leave immediately. He refused my request for just 15 more minutes and hung up when I asked his name. Moments later, a housekeeper entered through the back door before we had left.
My advice: ask detailed questions about the parking and bedroom layout before booking. I wish I had known these facts beforehand. It would have saved my family a very disappointing experience.
