Adventurous travellers flock to La Fortuna for guided hikes around Arenal Volcano and relaxing soaks in natural hot springs. Join a waterfall rappelling tour or spot toucans and sloths while exploring hanging bridges in the nearby cloud forest.
Good and clean room, reasonably priced restaurant (though very average food). Loved the natural pools, particularly when they were less crowded in the evening and morning.

Hotel Secreto was an amazing place to stay.
The staff were super helpful and friendly.
The location was spot on for being able to wander the town centre by foot as everything was easily walkable.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Would certainly make it our first choice if we are lucky enough to revisit La Fortuna in the future

Really lovely family run hotel. Make sure you get breakfast across the road soroundedb by beautiful birds. The hotel it self is really peaceful, at night you can hear sounds of creatures send the river. Loved having my own hammock! The hotel is a few hundred metres from the chocolate plantation which is worth doing a tour of and down the road is a magnificent waterfall! Only a $4 taxi ride in town, nice to get away from all the noises.

Beautiful spacious cottages in a hummingbird infested rainforest, very close to the waterfalls. We were leaving early so they prepared a very tasty takeaway breakfast. Breakfast is included for free. The only thing that needs fixing is the shower - due to bad design water flooded all over the bathroom. Taxi to town is 2,000 colones (3-4 USD).
