Basecamp is a stunning property and gives the authentic feel of a base camp ie no tv, phones, or wardrobes in bedrooms. The breakfast had great variety and eggs Benedict was a popular request. The only downside for me as a sole traveller in a triple room was that I had to pay the full price. There are no facilities such as a sauna or pool - but this is the high Arctic so I'm not sure if any accommodation has these facilities! Staff were wonderful - friendly and super helpful.

The Vault is situated in a convenient part of Longyearbyen. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and courteous. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely loved this quirky hotel at the end of the world. The facilities are excellent, rooms warm and comfortable. Restaurant is good but has a limited menu. Decor is simply amazing and the outside totally belies the inside. This was an old mining camp and Mary-Anne (who still runs it) has done a fantastic job in turning it into a hotel. We loved the fact that we could choose to eat at the welcoming restaurant, where the staff could not be friendlier, or use the little kitchen to prepare...

Clean and spacious room. Friendly and helpful staff. Fascinating location. The long walk to town turned out to be a huge bonus. Cam't beat that scenery.
