I had a very relaxing weekend away at the Shepherds Hut but there were a few things that I felt hadn’t been explained beforehand on the VRBO website. Whilst there was a kitchen there weren’t many things to cook with, for example saucepans/ wooden spoons so I was glad I have some in my camping kit which I carry in my car. I also had to provide my own washing up liquid. The bathroom was beautifully clean but be sure to bring an extra hand towel and bath mat for the shower as you get given only one towel. There is Wi-Fi but only on the driveway in front of the hut, not in the hut or the kitchen/lounge area and I got the Wi-Fi code from another couple who were staying there.The last thing I had trouble with is the bed. It’s incredibly comfortable but it’s so high that I struggled to get on and off it. I had to use the chair in the hut as a ladder! If you have mobility issues do not book this. However, these are minor issues given how peaceful and tranquil the Shepherds Hut is , I feel re-energized and ready to face the world again.
