Perfect Modern Base Near All Attractions
Prepare for and recover from the bustle of London life at my newly renovated and environmentally-friendly apartment in charming Queen's Park.
The flat is in the borough of Westminster in Zone 2 which makes it conveniently located to the main attractions London has to offer.
Queens Park Tube Station is less than 3 minutes away and there are fantastic restaurants, parks, shops and cafes within easy walking distance.
My flat has just had a full renovation so everything is brand new!
There are two double rooms with plenty of natural light, comfy beds and lots of storage space.
The open plan living space has an equipped kitchen, dining table, smart TV and for more than 4 guests I can set up an additional sleeper couch (small double).
I'm also trying to do my bit to save the planet so my electricity is sourced from 100% renewables (solar, wind, hydro) and the gas company offsets gas usage to balance the carbon footprint!
You have full access to everything in the flat plus the communal garden.
Fresh bed linen and towels are provided plus soap, shampoo, dishwashing liquid etc.
There is fast unlimited WIFI throughout the flat plus a Smart TV in the living room where you can access Netflix etc or channel hop through the British channels (BBC channels don't have any ads - whoop!)
Note: When booking for 5 or 6 guests we will automatically make up the sofa bed. If you would like the sofabed made up but are a group of 3 or 4 guests then please let me know. There would be a £20 extra fee to cover the extra cleaner's fee and laundry.

Weekend Away
Initial contact and online details were very positive. However on arrival there was no information regarding the individual flat number. We tried contacting both the owner and the agents we then got the flat number. On entering the flat we found that the mortise lock worked but the Yale lock was missing! Out of three downlighters in the bathroom only one was working and the same problem was repeated in the kitchen. We messaged the owner, asking for this to be fixed but only got a reply when we had checked out. Also there were no basics ie, iron and ironing board, toiletries or tea/coffee, milk or sugar on arrival. Otherwise the flat was clean and tidy, but on leaving,having stripped the beds, found that the mattresses and mattress covers were quite stained. We would have expected better when paying what was charged
There are some upsides and downsides to staying here, so I’ll delineate them in case that helps you decide.
Pros:
-super close to transit (Bakerloo line stop) and MS Simply Food
-plenty of towels and linens available
-good water pressure and access to hot water for showers
-good wardrobe storage in the bedrooms
-basic dishes and cooking supplies provided worked just fine as did the hair dryer
-no issues with booking; check in information was very clear and included pictures
-no issues with WiFi
Pauses:
-beds are really small and short
-loud neighbors, the walkway outside the front door is a hang out spot for neighbors, and you’ll get noise all evening and even in the middle of the night (3am) as they meet up to smoke and talk
-toiletries not really provided; we had to go buy hand soap, tissues, kitchen roll; no bin liners provided either
-needs some upkeep (several lights burned out, shower overflows unless you remove the drain cover, front latch is broken off the door, needs a deep clean…things like that)
I think our price per night worked out to be about 130 pounds, and I would say that’s a fair price. A short stay is ideal; we were there for a week and began to be uncomfortable with some of the issues. However, maybe the list of pros will outweigh that for you. Be sure to bring plenty of your own entertainment such as games and books (if you like to avoid screens) as there aren’t any of those items available.
Close to the tube and easy access to city attractions, the area was quite quiet and felt safe. The flat was somewhat spartan, with only three mugs, and no wine glasses or coffee making facility provided. Sofa for four people was a bit ‘snug’. But overall, for a couple of nights, it ticked the boxes.
