The only downfall was that the bed was a sofa bed and not an actual bed, which creaked a lot when you moved and not very comfortable when staying more than one night

This hotel was perfect for us. Very convenient location next to Earl’s Court Station. Easy access to everything via the underground. Across the street from a small grocery store. Staff was very helpful and room was cleaned daily. Would definitely stay here again

We got an upgrade to a bigger room which was very nice. Room was good size, comfortable for the 3 of us. Love the modern deco and amenities in room. Surrounding was nice with the subway just few minutes walk away. Would stay at this place again if back in London.

The Oxford Hotel is now the Merit Kensington Hotel which was confusing at first but they do send you a message beforehand to reorient us to the correct check in location. Hotel was clean, modern furniture and bathrooms and had a refrigerator.which was usefull for storing medication like insulin. electric kettle and glasses were a nice touch. Breakfast area had a Cafe-like atmosphere but was expensive. surrounding area was fun to walk around with many shops and food options. everything you need is walkable. also Train station was very accessible, just behind the building. was not loud, you can barely hear the trains other than a faint, distant screeching of brakes but it was never intrusive. If you sleep too much, the laughter of the neighborhood children will wake you more than the trains will. Overall great experience. with easy check in and out, fresh linen everyday, and easy access to a great neighborhood and also the train to the the rest of london.

Amazing value great quality new rooms

Good checkin when we found the hotel. I had kissed the small print about the name being different on the street sign to the actual name. Sign in outside would be good addition. Stunning room for the money

Booked a single room which was in the basement, quite small but perfect for what I needed. Nice decor inside, big bathroom, decent amount of tech. Only slight negative was the noise from street level. Would stay again

Overall we had a good stay at this hotel however a few slight disappointing discoveries like dirty bedding, peeling paint behind the curtain, a very stiff bathroom tap, mismatched mugs & teaspoons and lastly ill-fitting curtains which let daylight in and disrupted our sleep. Apart from these minor things our room was a decent size, it was decorated modern with plenty storage and amenities and was comfortable for our one nights stay.

Looks better than it is

Credit where it is due, the room was clean and nicely decorated. But the bed was lumpy, squeaked so loud turning in our sleep woke us up, pillow like a brick, sockets did not work by the bed, bedside light did not work and day and night there were people outside drunk or on drugs shouting and pilice attended twice. It is a very convenient location for museums and albert hall though.

Excellent location near tube and many bus routes.The Oxford hotel is run as Merit Kensington and is housed across 3 buildings in the same street.We were pleasantly surprised by the interior decor of our room on 3rd floor of building 12.Tiny bathroom but very clean and great shower. Bed was a sofa bed but comfortable and slept well.Air conditioning was effective and much needed....Room.very small but had everything we needed. I had read some negative reviews about staff and the £100 deposit...Staff were very helpful.Luggage storage available.I queried the automatic deposit refund on checkout..our room was checked while we waited, confirmed in order, transaction voided..... Glad I had been aware of this in advance.

Perfect for one night stay

Very small room but fine for a single night. Limited space for 2 peoples luggage and clothing. One thing, the hotel is not called the Oxford Hotel which is confusing and inconvenient. But maybe not a fault of the hotel.

Locatie van het hotel is prima en de kamer was schoon. Daarmee zijn alle positieve ervaringen genoemd. Entree van de dependance waarin onze kamer lag was rommelig en niet echt schoon. Vanaf 7 uur iedere ochtend werd er in de kamer boven ons begonnen met werkzaamheden aan de elektrische installatie. Toen wij dit aangaven bij het personeel, verontschuldigde 1 personeel zich en 1 andere gaf aan dat het helemaal niet waar was, omdat de werkzaamheden pas om 9 uur begonnen en niet in de kamer boven ons plaatsvonden…

Schönes Londoner Stadthotel. Nur eine Querstraße von der U-Bahn Station Earls Court. Hotel ist aufgeteilt in drei Häuser. Einrichtung ist modern und sauber. Etwas merkwürdig ist, dass man beim Check-in erstmal 100£ Caution bezahlen muss, obwohl das Zimmer im Voraus bezahlt war.
