Not a bad place, but we suffered the first few days with direct sunlight on the bed, which made sleeping very difficult. The host fixed it a few days later but the damage of sleep deprivation was already done. We asked for more toilet paper and he didn't replenish it, so remember to bring your own. The Internet is extremely slow: if you're counting on working from home, invest in a decent data plan. Lastly, the communication wasn't smooth, host takes forever to answer and when he does it reads like generic AI responses.I would come back to the place but I wished I had this disclaimer before I knew what I was getting into.

The place is exactly as it looks in the pictures, and it was really clean. The area around it has some restaurants and markets, it’s easy to get around. There are buses you can take nearby or the train after a 15-20min walk, and it takes about an hour to get to central London. Although the room itself was good, we faced some problems. Internet connection is not reliable, so if you count on working from there, I wouldn’t recommend it. Also, there were no blinds when we arrived and it was almost impossible to sleep with direct sunlight on the bed. It took more than a day for the problem to be solved because host response time is too long. We extended our stay and needed extra toilet paper but it was never provided, even after multiple requests to the host. Overall good location and amenities, but slow/limited communication from the host.

I acknowledge this is a budget rental, however the budget part comes in the distance (over an hour from London, 15 minute walk to the station) and in a sketchy area. After taking a 2.5 hour journey from Stansted airport, the location on the app was wrong. The hosts provided no house number and the “Get directions” brought us to the wrong place. After getting in touch with the hosts, they provided a house number which we ended up finally finding the room. We entered the room, and it was not clean to standards, hairs on the floor and in the shower, dirt on appliances, stains on the bedding. “Budget” doesn’t mean dirty. The shower then didn’t get warm, had to contact host again which then was provided with instructions (switch on the wall), which then it did get warm. The property was listed with a washer and dryer, we had planned on washing our clothes here as we had 8 previous travel days before this destination, and was out of clean clothes. The washer and dryer was broken on arrival without previous communication. After bringing this up with the host, who didn’t respond till the following morning, gave us a solution of bringing our clothes 20 minutes to the nearest laundromat, unfeasible for people on vacation to spend a day and extra money washing clothes. After all of this was said and done, we left the next morning to find a new place, and the host didn’t offer a full refund. I would recommend looking elsewhere specifically closer to London and in a better location.
