Arrived early and (thankfully) was able to check-in early (check-out was equally painless). Hotel is within a 5-10 minute walk of two subway stations, the Thames, the Tate, Globe Theatre, Borough Market. The breakfast buffet is worth getting. The staff was friendly and accommodating at every turn (asked for an extra pillow and they brought it up right away). Enjoyed hitting the pool. If you are thinking of staying in London, this is the place. You can thank me later.

Mitchell greeted us wonderfully outside the hotel on our arrival and made a lovely effort with my young daughter (& the urban fox hunt). Glass of bubbles at check in, all smooth. Room was clean and spacious, cute fox decor and attention to child guest needs. Indoor pool was nice (until disrupted by some over excited/splashy teens from Manchester) robes and towels provided. Room service food menu out of date/wasn't updated on the TV menu and was very limited/over priced hut good service. Nice selection at breakfast, even though was rushed as we went at 10.45 and ends at 11. Very easy walking distance to Tate Modern, Globe and Borough. Nice location.

We had an excellent stay at this Hotel. From the minute we arrived to leaving, the service was first class. The staff were so friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were modern, spotless and spacious and the shower was amazing! The bar and restaurant were lovely too. I also really enjoyed staying in this area of London. There were nice cafes, bars and restaurants in the area and a few supermarkets within a few minutes walk. Close to the Tate Modern and only a 10 minute walk to Borough Market. We were also able to walk to Covent Garden area for our night at the theatre. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Hilton Bankside was an excellent choice for our stay in London. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Hotel itself is clean, rooms are nice and of good standard. I travelled with my 6 year old daughter, and she was pleasantly surprised with a kids kit consisting of an activity book, a blanket& pillow, bathrobe with slippers and sweets. Marcel helped us with a kids treasury hunt, which was a fun experience for my daughter. We also tried the gym and the pool. Gym was excellent, well equipped. Pool was good, a bit cold and also had dust on the water which was the only negative I could point out about our stay. The location is good, I had read that the area wasn't that safe, but we didn't experience anything during our stay. Around 5 minutes walk to the tube (Jubilee line), and buses also available. Recommended!
