Clean and comfortable hotel near Marble Arch but was pretty quiet considering location. Good value and friendly staff.

Great location. But the Berkeley is more of a hostel than a hotel. The room was dilapidated, pretty much everything was very old, peeling and stained. From bathroom, to door locks, to mattress. They seriously need to invest in some renovation. Staff was polite but then again, I never tested it them with a challenging situation as my room was pre-paid so all they had to do was give me the key. Will never stay again
Location was great near all the shops on baker street and lot of food options.
The hotel mattress was stained had a hole in it and a cigarette burn. The bathroom needed a good deep clean. For the location and price we dealt with it for the 3 nights, we flipped the mattress to a cleaner side. You need to pay for tea and coffee making facilities (£5 I think) and for room cleaning it was £10, and no WiFi.
Awful dump . Dreadful. Worst hotel i have been it. Homeless hostel is best description . Horrible room torn curtains moldew shower . No daily clean .

Warm and clean. The bed was really comfortable and it was quiet at night. The facilities are basic but you get what you pay for. If you just want somewhere to sleep without much fuss at a reasonable price then it’s ideal.

Great location at great price. Stayed after a Christmas Meal as cost was less than a taxi back for me would have been
Bed was very comfortable.
Bit smelly in corridors - possibly a few homeless people being put up?
The property doesn’t have a reception where they can watch your luggage. They use a 3rd party app where you have to pay 4-5€, much different than other places I’ve travelled to. The hotel is in a quiet area.

The property is close to Winston castle… long walk. Great location ! It is safe with lots of shops, but the room is very old. We could feel the wires on the bed, old, and a very small room. Also lots of tiny stairs to climb, but the price is cheap.

I liked the location, and the service.
I felt there could have been tea or coffee facilities or at least water and hooks for having clothes. The pillows were lumpy.

Very helpful staff
The hotel was quite cheap and so limited in facilities, eg there was no hangar or place to hang my suit in the room and no tea/coffee. However it was clean and bed was fine.
Best of all was the service. The receptionist when I arrived was friendly and helpful but best of all, I had to ask the overnight staff member for help with something in the middle of the night and the staff member spent over an hour solving it for me - above and beyond what I could have expected
The location is perfect and with the price we paid we knew we our expectations had to be realistic. However the building is requiring a revamp and the smell of mould was troublesome in the bathroom. The staff were helpful in creating a solution.
I was surprised to see no matress protecter on the bed and only a small duvet on a double bed but the room was hot so it wasnt required anyway.
There is no lift so be aware of needing to walk flights of stairs if you have heavy luggage. The tread is very narrow as is normal in london so perhaps the plastic covering over the carpet on the staircase might be to provide grip and prevent injury.
This place could be amazing due to its top location if a refurbishment was done, it is worrying to see damaged ceilings and walls and significant sloping floors.
Only if you’re desperate and there isn’t anywhere but the streets. It was heated, warm water, clean bedding on a thin mattress, severely slanted floors, broken toilet seat, mold in the shower, deteriorating laminate flooring, cigarette burns in the only chair in a very small room approximately 8x10. Narrow steep staircase, no elevator, carpeting severely worn and torn, offensive odor, no food option which I’m glad of and no phone.
Apparently it’s undergoing renovations but in reality it looks like a flop house. General condition is awful with paint chipping, cracks in the sink and toilet, bathroom door was rotting at the bottom, no decoration on any wall, the carpet in the hallway was covered with some kind of plastic runner that had holes all over the place and what it was supposed to be protecting was no better, the bed was the cheapest metal frame with an equally cheap and uncomfortable ‘mattress’. The only small pluses were that the sheets and towels were clean, the shower was hot and the guy on reception was pleasant enough otherwise it would be zero stars…avoid.
The Berkeley Court Hotel was a bitter disappointment. Although the young receptionist, Warren, was friendly and kind, the hotel did not even provide drinking glasses in the room, nor an electric kettle, nor tea, coffee, and certainly no complimentary biscuits. The bed was decent, the shower was hot, and the window did open for fresh air. However, the bathroom was quite dirty, and everything was quite dingy. We did like the high ceiling, and the bedsheets were clean. I feel the hotel owners had decided to do the minimum, just to profit from the hotel's good location near Marble Arch. It was rather grim and a disappointment for our long-awaited holiday. Choose a Travel Lodge or Premier Inn instead.

The hygiene is terrible. The room doesn’t heat up. The only good thing about this hotel is its location.
