"Loved the older building with updated features that made for a very comfortable stay. Very clean, nice room overlooking the harbor with small convenient kitchenette. Excellent comfortable king bed with convenient electrical charging capability on both sides. Very convenient location for access to the downtown area including the ferry, bus and train stations, but far enough from bustle and noise- very quiet. A fine continental breakfast with a great coffee maker for cappuccinos and more. Really enjoyed spending time in the cozy onsite pub and blethering a bit with the very congenial and accommodating host, with a good selection of drafts and extensive assortment of fine whiskys (wee suggestion: I would have loved a real dartboard 😉). I really enjoyed our three nights there and eagerly look forward to the next time we can visit Oban and revisit the Kelvin for our next stay. Highly recommended!"

"Totally enjoy the hot tub with stunning views, so relaxing. The bar area is amazing relaxing for a drink and good bar food for a chilled evening. Staff are super welcome and attentive for the service. Fabulous breakfast with amazing sunrise view. Would definitely stay again."

"We had a lovely stay for just one night at The Airds Hotel. We were a bit late getting in and had to cancel an earlier dinner reservation because we were running behind. But the staff were very accommodating and allowed us to enjoy dinner in the restaurant. They also provided us a takeaway bag for breakfast as we had to check out early the next morning. The hotel room itself was very comfortable. The water in the shower gets scalding hot, BEWARE. There is a sign in the bathroom warning of this but it isn’t until you go to take a shower that you realize how hot it truly gets. It takes a little bit of time fiddling with the controls to get the water to a desirable temperature. Other than that, we absolutely loved our stay and wish we could have spent more time here. "
