"Check-in was slow as usual. There's a fast-lane for those of us who had checked in online, but it was getting used as a general lane. The person checking us in needed to know who we'd booked with (why? It was all paid, and I'd already checked in online). Next he asked my name, but then said 'No, no, no.' I was sure I was right, but he was sure I was wrong. But then he found me on his computer screen and it turned out that I did know my name. Staff were exceedingly pleasant and helpful, especially the dining area staff. Top marks. Queues at busy times (buffet style) but the food was fine, though not spectacular. For the cost of the meals, one could have a lovely table service meal in a restaurant but if all-you-can-eat appeals, it's not bad. There's plenty of car parking spaces, but lots of white vans parked - and long-wheel base vans take up at least two spaces, and sometimes more if they are wide. Dedicated parking spaces for vans would be useful. At night, it can be hard to find a nearby parking spot but the coach car park always has spaces. Overall, cheap and very good value for money and I do recommend this venue without hesitation."

"We returned for a second time, after a lovely stay last year, for a family holiday. The property is really clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We had regular visits from red squirrels and a range of wild life. The secure garden was enjoyed by our grand daughter and the dogs. There are great walks right from the door, access to local cafes and a shop plus the opportunity to watch the steam train 6 times a day. We hope to return next year."

"The resort is quite old and in some spots pretty rundown. The cleaning team does a great job with what they have. when it comes to the support staff We found a range between some who were kind and helpful and others who seemed as if they were a bit hungover and couldn't be bothered"

"This was the second time that the seven of us have stayed at Pine Ridge Lodge. We had an excellent stay. The lodge is spotless, very well kept and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. There are plenty of things to entertain children and adults alike. We would highly recommend. Thank you! We look forward to returning again."

Earth House Scotland - Stunning Historic Fishing Lodge on the River Spey

"My family and I stayed at Earth House for a week long vacation in Scotland. The property is even more breathtaking than in the photos and videos. Our group included 15 people from age 6 to 74 and every one of us agreed that it was one of the most amazing locations ever visited. The house maintains a rustic charm while having the most up to date bathrooms, kitchen and appliances. We woke up to the sun rising over the Highlands with sheep baa-ing from the nearby farm. Aviemore was a quick drive away and provided running and hiking trails, coffee shops, restaurants and plenty of activities for the children. Day trips to Inverness and Urquart Castle were very easy. At Salem's recommendation, we hired Pauline, owner of Polipocketseats, to cook for the family. Her food was delicious and accomodated the many different tastes and preferences of our group. We ended each day as a family with tea by the fireplace.Salem was extremely helpful during our stay and answered all questions we had about the house and touring around Scotland. We miss the house already and I highly recommend Earth House to others!"

"Lovely property well situated just outside Aviemore. Holiday Park is lovely and well maintained and the chalet probably had the best view in the park! Well appointed and spacious, with excellent facilities and a great outside area. Phone signal in the area isn't the best and the WiFi sometimes is a little tempremental. We had plenty of room and would love to have stayed longer. Couple of great restaurants nearby and lots of walking paths. 10 mins by car from Aviemore and more amenities and shops. Would love to come back at some point."

"This was our third trip to Scotland, our first to this area and we loved it. We will be back.The property itself is excellent, even better than the photos. It’s large, comfortable, well laid out and equipped, spotlessly clean and in an amazing location. I would highly recommend this property and the owner, whose communication was timely and clear.
