Top Loch an Eilein Hotel Reviews
Coylumbridge Resort Hotel
8/10 Good
"Check-in was slow as usual. There's a fast-lane for those of us who had checked in online, but it was getting used as a general lane. The person checking us in needed to know who we'd booked with (why? It was all paid, and I'd already checked in online). Next he asked my name, but then said 'No, no, no.' I was sure I was right, but he was sure I was wrong. But then he found me on his computer screen and it turned out that I did know my name. Staff were exceedingly pleasant and helpful, especially the dining area staff. Top marks. Queues at busy times (buffet style) but the food was fine, though not spectacular. For the cost of the meals, one could have a lovely table service meal in a restaurant but if all-you-can-eat appeals, it's not bad. There's plenty of car parking spaces, but lots of white vans parked - and long-wheel base vans take up at least two spaces, and sometimes more if they are wide. Dedicated parking spaces for vans would be useful. At night, it can be hard to find a nearby parking spot but the coach car park always has spaces. Overall, cheap and very good value for money and I do recommend this venue without hesitation."
Holiday Chalet to rent, Aviemore Holiday Park
8/10 Good
"The chalet was clean. Bedding was a little dated. Laundry was not in operation but we found one to use behind the Coffee Pot Cafe... Which has a wonderful breakfast and the best coffee I've ever had! Chalet was great location. The bar in the holiday park was not open on the days we were there, so I have no experience there. Easy to get to everything. Definitely worth the price."
High Range Hotel
8/10 Good
"Thanks : we had a good stay ."
Rowan Tree Country Hotel
8/10 Good
"A great location to explore all the adventures the Cairngorms has to offer! Very friendly staff who greeted you with kindness. The breakfast offering was great especially as I am gluten free. My room was well equipped and the bed was super comfy. Being on the side of the road my room rattled a little when a big vehicle passed but not a huge issue! A lovely stay and would look to book this again!"
Sleeps 12 in 6 double bedrooms all en-suite
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed for a week in July 2026 with grandparents and three family groups, we all had plenty of room and the annex was perfect for grandparents to have a quiet space. En-suites throughout is a real plus point. Everything was clean and well maintained. The location was perfect for us. Really useful to have the cafe and farm shop on the doorstep, along with bike hire, cycle path and tree treck! We used it all!! Quick drive (or cycle) to the loch with the paddle board/canoe - we had it nearly to ourselves. Only slightly further to loch Insh for all they have to offer. Easy cycle into Aviemore too! We will definitely book this again - we need to come back when the mountain is open (closed during our stay due to the wildfires). Thank you for a superb holiday."
Lynwilg House - Large Group Holiday Home
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful one-week stay at this property! The space was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. The amenities, especially the kitchen and Wi-Fi, made a longer stay very easy and enjoyable. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and it was very nice and quiet place. Our host ( Nick and Eric) were incredibly welcoming, responsive, and helpful throughout the week. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable home away from home!"
Premier Inn Aviemore
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were amazingly helpful and we appreciated the air conditioning."
Woodhaus - with hot tub and sauna in Aviemore
10/10 Excellent
"This was a beautiful place and perfect for our visit to the Cairngorms. We loved that the owners had provided bird seed / suet and delighted in the birds who flew in. Loved the "pet" mallards who hung out all week."
3 bedroom accommodation in Aviemore
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent holiday house in a fantastic location. House is exceptionally warm and cosy. Highly recommend. Only slight issue - I am extremely allergic to animal hair and there were remnants of dog hairs in the lounge."
