"We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all excellent and it felt welcoming from the moment we walked in. The decor in the lobby area was lovely. We used the spa every day and it was very good. It was nice it was open late and very easy to access. We were short of towels in our room but this was sorted very quickly. The hotel is excellently located, just a short walk to the castle. The only real downside was not being able to leave our car in the hotel car park for just an extra 30 mins after checkout. This is despite the fact that there were not very many guests (so few that they took individual orders for breakfast instead of the usual buffet). I've never known a hotel not allow this. This was a minor issue and we would absolutely stay here again."

"The room was welcoming and clean but could have done with extra storage space, a shelf in the bathroom and hooks on the entrance hall wall or room door to hang coats on. We appreciated the high class coffee, tea, drinking chocolate and biscuits provided. The staff were ALL friendly, smiling and very helpful. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Lovely dining room and a splendid array of beers on offer in the bar."

"Such a lovely welcoming B&B! Lovely lounge with roaring fire for guests use, rooms and beds comfy and clean, breakfasts are amazing, and host lovely. We stayed in the double room with twin beds - the twin beds are in a separate room, which is a great bonus!"
