Recension: The Box Hotel, Linköping The Box Hotel i Linköping är ett sådant ställe där förväntningarna snabbt får ta ett steg tillbaka. Redan innan man kliver innanför dörrarna finns en viss förvirring – hotellet blandas lätt ihop med ett annat inne i centrala Linköping som också marknadsför sig som “The Box”, vilket inte direkt underlättar för gästen. Själva hotellet ligger lite i utkanten och försöker leverera en modern, mörk och ”designig” känsla – men landar istället i något som känns dammigt, mörkt och lätt nergånget. Helhetsintrycket präglas av trötthet snarare än exklusivitet, och när man ser priset per natt – ofta långt över vad konkurrerande hotell i stan tar – undrar man vad man egentligen betalar för. Restaurangens meny är ett kapitel för sig. Trött och idéfattig, med råvaror som känns som om de plockats från en vägkrog längs E4:an snarare än från ett modernt hotell med ambition. Det saknas glädje, det saknas kärlek – och framför allt saknas något som motiverar prisnivån. Sammanfattningsvis: det är ett ok boende – men bara just ok. När priset närmar sig det dubbla jämfört med vad man får på andra, fräschare hotell i Linköping med bättre läge och mat, räcker det helt enkelt inte till.

Dyrt o sämre parkering annars bra

Nyinfört parkeringsavgift till ett relativt högt pris för parkering o rum. Då det dessutom var svårt att få ledig parkering upplevdes detta som besvärligt och jag kommer därför söka annat boende framöver
