Our unit is mostly absence of roadside traffic noise due to its upper hillside location. It is a lovely 2-level design townhouse is desirable due to location as closest buildings to beautiful hilltop swimming pool & BBQ area with close views of the ocean. See surfers! Free parking in your own assigned covered parking space directly below the unit, with 2 stairways to our front door. Partial ocean views from lanai balcony. Trendy Hawaiian furniture & decor. Sit outdoors for breakfast or cocktails on lanai/patio with small table and chairs. Fun to watch large Cruise ships enter the harbor - three a week - quite a sight! Both bedrooms are on the upper floor. Kitchen, living room, 1/2 bathroom, dining table, and patio/lanai on first floor where you enter. Stairs shown photographs from parking space to condo front door. All stairs have handrails. Coffee Maker, bogie boards, small coolers and folding beach chairs and beach towels. Plus: good part is there are no neighbors above this unit.

Complex was built in 1970's, they are two-story low-rise buildings on the hillside and street level overlooking a working shipyard and protected harbor of local fishing boats. Surrounded by fun shopping, restaurants, activities and entertainment.

This condo is nice size, quality furnishings, convenient kitchen, ocean views and island location. I strive to set my vacation condo far apart with personal touches. Beautiful maghonany hand carved Master bedroom furniture hand carved in Bali.
Quiet here, too - very relaxing. Suggest while checking other units advertising for Banyan Harbor, ask if on ground level near the road, views or provide air conditioning in all rooms. Most units offered near main road will experience vehicle noises from local traffic that is noticeable.
POOL: This condo is in the closest building to the Pool Area with main BBQ area. Good sized heated salt-brine pool, perfect setting to relax overlooking turquoise waters of Kalapaki Bay. Pool Area has Restrooms, BBQ’s, lounge chairs, lawn area for kids, and picnic tables in a fenced area. Tennis and pickle ball courts to play for all ages. Office has free racket rentals for courts.
BEACH: Kalapaki beach across the street offers many benefits: One of the safest, clean swimming public beaches in Kauai as it is protected by the Harbor. Many locals outrigger canoes, Stand Up paddle boards, or surfers here. No fear of giant crashing waves if you have small children, elderly or a new to ocean swimming.

The apartment was very clean and fully equipped with absolutely everything that could be needed. The host was responsive. The check in process was very quick and easy. The location and amenities were fantastic. We would absolutely stay there again
It was good stay with clean dwelling. Minor issues that are to expected in any house that size. Overall good stay. One thing to note is that dwelling is on 2nd floor and has stairs. It could be challenging for someone with advanced age or limitations.
Wonderful family vacation, we loved the location… beautiful view, easy beach access, fun to watch the barges come into port, and see the surfers & canoe races. We had a great time playing pickleball everyday and BBQ by the pool. Loved the proximity to Duke’s Hula Pie
This was a great facility, certainly met our needs as a launching off point for activities all over the island. Very close to the airport, Costco, and target. And a nice beach just down the street.

The apartment is clean, colorful, and nicely designed, and very well equipped with soaps, towels, linens, a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, and basic kitchen supplies, which was appreciated.
The location is great, though being close to the harbor means there can be some noise at times when ships are docking.
The apartment is on two levels, and the entrance requires climbing two flights of stairs, which may be something to consider.
For a group of five adults or near-adults, the space felt a bit compact.
The complex itself is clean and pleasant, with a very nice pool area, although the pool is not heated.
Each room has air conditioning, which is convenient, but the units are quite noisy, making it difficult to sleep with them on.
Overall, a nice and well-maintained place, with a few points worth noting depending on personal preferences and group size.
Nice accomodations the complex is somewhat busy but people are friendly and quiet. Great views from the deck. Pool was nice after a day of activities. Food and shops within walking distance. Near airport with quick access to other sides of the island. Enjoyed our stay
This unit was a super cute older 2 bedroom two story townhouse. It was on the hilltop so we got our steps in each day. Great location to a wonderful beach park, shops and dining. Even had the pool to ourselves for a few half days. Had an amazing stay
Has everything you’d need. Extra sheets and towels. Close to the beach and you could even see the sunrise from the main room. I’d stay here again in a heart beat.
We had a great stay for 7 days. We loved being able to sit on the lanai and watch the ships and harbor activity. The condo had everything we could possibility need including quite a few pantry staples and condiments. Very traditional Hawaiian style home, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed this property and it's fantastic location. The only issue we encountered was the provided soaps - there was no dishwasher or laundry pods, and no bar soap, as noted in the listing. The property manager was extremely responsive and immediately moved to fix the issue when we let her know. We would stay here again. :)
We had a great week! The condo had everything we needed to be comfortable. It was clean, and well laid out. Everything was in good working order and all instructions and communication were extremely clear. Great location: walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach. So much fun to watch the barges and cruise ship coming and going from the balcony. Centrally located for driving activities as well. Loved it!
Our location was ideal for my conference close by at the Royal Sonesta, about a ten minute brisk walk. There were many places to eat close by, food trucks and sit down restaurants. We had a car, Costco and Safeway were no more than a ten minute drive. The large cruise boats were coming and going most days, which quite a spectacle. The morning sunrise was the highlight
Unit was very clean and well stocked with anything needed to cook a meal. There are NO grab bars in the shower and very low toilets but linens are very clean and good quality. Location is good very high up walking is all uphill or downhill lots of stairs if you take lots of luggage no elevator
This condo is very conveniently located to the airport and the Royal Sonesta Resort where my husband was attending a conference. Overall positive report, but it is true that the local contact was hard to reach. Also, there was loud music and a few fireworks(?) one night till 3 a.m., presumably from the cruise ship in port. Instructions for the Wifi had been changed, but had not been updated in the instructions, so that took us a while to figure out. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.
This condo was absolutely perfect for my family and I as we explored beautiful Kauai. The location is awesome as it is only a minute drive to the beach and shopping/restaurants. We enjoyed watching the cruise ships come in and out of the harbor. The swimming pool and barbeque grills were really nice to use and very clean. We were very happy with our choice to stay at the Banyan because of its location, especially after traveling north and finding out the traffic can back up in the Kapaa area! We really appreciated not having to wait in traffic when we left the condo to explore the island. The unit was cozy and clean, it had essentials in the unit (dish soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, etc.) that we really appreciated after a very long flight and didn't want to venture out to find these things. Our favorite part of the condo was the lanai, sitting out there and looking at the mountains, ocean, and stars...absolutely amazing. I would definitely reserve this unit again! We can't wait to come back to Kauai and visit again.
This rental was more than adequate for our recent visit to Kauai. The living and dining room furniture is new and refrigerator & dishwasher are also new. The air conditioners are due for replacement but the fans in the bedrooms and open windows helped at night instead of listening to a noisy unit.
The pool/bbq area were nice. BBQ’s were busy, so go early. Pool is salt water and small but nice.
The condo is centrally located on Kauai and there is a really nice park and beach across the road. It was nice to have morning coffee on the lanai and watch the ships come into port.

Window AC units were between 60 & 70 decibels on lowest setting. Owner explained that trade winds at night make AC unnecessary. There were cool breezes at night, but a loud party nearby on last night made us close windows.
Few dirty/ broken things, but nothing major. To be fair, owner gave us maintenance's info before stay. But instead of complaining, we just cleaned up. Why bother with arranging repair while on vacation?
Would stay at BH again for location alone. Overall, strong value.
