We had a disappointing experience at this property. The house is old and in need of TLC. There’s no air conditioning in the downstairs bedrooms, which made sleeping uncomfortable during warm nights. But the worst part: major construction is happening right next door, with excavators, loud drilling, and constant dust and noise from early morning. This was not disclosed before our arrival, and when we complained, the owner responded that they “thought it would be finished by now”. That’s simply untrue. A single glance at the construction site makes it obvious the work has just begun and will continue for months.The owner offered no meaningful apology or solution. It was a stressful stay and not what we expected or paid for. I would not recommend booking this place until both the house and the environment around it improve significantly.Amelie is a friendly, positive and responsive host, but the product delivered was not what we were promised.
