For the best weather and a delightful experience in Lazkao, the ideal time to visit is during late spring (May to June) or early autumn (September to October).

During these months, you'll find pleasant temperatures, generally ranging from the high teens to mid-20s Celsius, making it comfortable for exploring the town and the surrounding Basque countryside. There's also less chance of heavy rain compared to the winter months, and the summer crowds haven't fully arrived or have started to dissipate. This allows for a more relaxed and authentic experience.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the mild weather for leisurely strolls through Lazkao's historic centre, perhaps enjoying a meal at a local restaurant with outdoor seating. The surrounding natural beauty, like the nearby Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park, is also at its most inviting for gentle hikes or scenic drives, offering a tranquil escape.

For those interested in local culture and gastronomy, these periods often coincide with various regional festivals and culinary events.
