Chalet Bella Vista 1

Chalet Bella Vista 1 is a modern 2 bedroom vacation apartment conveniently located in the heart of the family-friendly “car-free” village of Wengen! Just a 200m from the train station and 300m from the cable car, access to mountain hiking trails and ski areas is literally on your doorstep!

This smart contemporary garden apartment sleeps up to 4 people, has 2 double bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and one with twin beds. All beds are European sizes. There are 2 bathrooms, one with a bath, shower and WC, and one with a shower and WC. There is also a lift in the chalet for easy access!

Very family-friendly, this modern apartment is bright and spacious, measuring over 90 square metres. The large bright large patio doors “let the outside in” and lead you to the sunny south-facing terrace where a treat awaits the kids… a children’s playground in the garden!!

Recently built, the aptly named Chalet Bella Vista is an easy short walk to the centre of activity in Wengen. With fresh and cheerful accents, the open concept living, dining and kitchen area is the perfect gathering place, making it easy to cook, eat, entertain and relax all in one space!

Warm your toes in front of a roaring fire in the Swedish wood burner while enjoying a glass of wine and some fine Swiss cheeses after a day of hiking or skiing. Or simply soak in the sunshine while dining al fresco on the terrace.

Free WiFi internet, cable TV, DVD player, Geneva CD player, iPod docking station all make entertainment easy and the apartment feel like a ‘home away from home’ – an easy, relaxed space to be yourself and enjoy your holiday in Wengen.

What you should know...

Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if you require assistance to your chalet.

Location was great easy to get to and literally less than five minutes if that from the train station. The office for the apartment is also very close and had an electronic lockbox to access the key after hours. Communication was also really great and easy to comprehend. This is an amazing place and a great town and very comfortable and it’s definitely bigger than the pictures look.

A cozy haven

Chalet Bella Vista 1 is a lovely, tranquil ground-floor apartment in a perfect location just 5 minutes' walk from to the train station and the village centre. It's cozy inside, but with expansive views up to the mountains towering above. The apartment feels much larger than it looks in the photos, and the kitchen is extremely well-equipped, with all the mod cons. A bonus for families with children: the playground just beyond the outside terrace! Nothing! All good, thank you.

Best family ski apartment

This is an extremely large and comfortable apartment with a lovely lovely garden and an amazing view. Super comfortable and very family friendly. There’s everything one possibly needs in the apartment / building, all in great condition and clearly has been very well looked after. A real pleasure to stay here & we wish we had booked for 2 weeks instead of 1! Julie has been very accommodating with the constantly changing covid travel rules, and was able to sort out our stay with just 1 day of notice - we got our PCR result, phoned Julie, then bought the flight tickets and arrived at Wengen the next day, quite a miracle particularly at around Christmas time. We will certainly be back! Photos don’t do this apartment justice!

Great for families, as it has a garden with a nice little playground (and lots of snow in winter!). Spacious living room, with well equipped kitchen. Julie’s responsiveness and service was exceptional throughout booking, pre-arrival and our stay in Wengen. The apartment is well equipped and clean. The ground floor set up with garden/ply ground access is perfect for young families. The building itself is modern with good facilities, including laundry and elevator. The apartment is conveniently located near the train and gondola station as well as grocery stores, while still in a quiet location. The apartment is located across the street from a fantastic restaurant and a larger playground.

Perfect for a family with small children

We were delighted at how well this suited us as a family with 2 small children. The location is just a few minutes away from the train station and Coop, and just around the corner from a playground. And not only that, the unit has it's own backyard with some playground equipment - perfect for little ones to get outside and spend their energy. The place was clean and well equipped with kitchen items. The shared laundry space upstairs was nice to have. Overall, a great choice for a 2 week stay - we couldn't be happier. The only thing we wished for was additional, smaller knives - there was only one large one, and one bread knife. Otherwise, everything was great.
