"What a gem of a find, we stayed for one night whilst travelling from England to Spain. We was warmly greeted on arrival and went straight into the pool after a very long day. The host then prepared a fantastic 3 course home cooked meal with wine. Room was spacious, clean and bed comfy, with a wonderful views over the vineyards. "We absolutely loved our stay and felt so welcome. The location was amazing as so close to the station and shops as well as the lovely canal. The walk to the Medieval City was only 25mins and the hotel was on a quiet street. We were made to feel so at home, with cold water and drinks available at all times. "The staff at Hotel DonJon we're the best part of the trip. They left nothing to want. Everyone was genuinely nice and had thought of everything. We arrived about 3 hours early before check-in due to the train schedule. As soon as we arrived, they took all of our bags and stored them so we could walk around the castle grounds and do whatever we wanted without worrying about our luggage. The room was nice and cool once we got in which was very welcome due to how hot it was. The beds were comfy and the room was spacious enough for the 4 of us. Breakfast is worth purchasing. The food and coffee are great. Upon departure, they called us a cab for the train station and again took care of all the luggage. Staying here really made it for a great time."
