Our stay inside the walled medieval city of Carcassonne was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, everything was beautiful — the atmosphere, the architecture, and the feeling of stepping back in time. Staying inside La Cité felt like living in a medieval story, surrounded by the 12th‑century church and castle just steps away. The hotel staff were fantastic, and the manager truly stood out. Every morning, he made his rounds, inspecting the property, ensuring everything was spotless, and personally greeting guests as they checked in. His presence and dedication showed how much pride he takes in running the hotel, and it made our stay feel even more special. The private pick‑up from the airport directly to the castle was an experience of a lifetime — a perfect start to an unforgettable visit. Our room was beautiful, the amenities were excellent, and the location simply cannot be matched. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was wonderful, with great food and warm service. Overall, our experience was unmatched compared to any other stay. This hotel gave us memories we will carry forever. Thank you!

The hotel is beautiful and very atmospheric! Staff was wonderful! Rooms were lovely! A few issues for us were that that the tub is very deep which makes it difficult for older or short people to climb in. Although the hotel was beautiful the exits need to be better marked. If there was a fire it would be very difficult to exit the hotel safely.

Unique property within the wall. Garden view recommended. Dinner at hotel’s restaurant was 3+ hours- very good traditional French cuisine, so many couses. Skip lunch before.

The property is beautiful and is right in the old city. The room was good size and had a large bathroom. We had a lovely view of the hotel gardens. The pool area was especially nice. It was a little confusing for us to figure out exactly where to go to be transferred to the hotel. All the staff were very friendly,helpful and professional. Some of the carpets are showing their age and could us an upgrade. We would certainly stay there again.
