Close to city supermarkets Maccas easy to find with google maps. Unit was spotless bathroom was lovely and new electric blankets on beds easy to get out onto main Highway

Upon arrival we had to look around for the safe to get the room key from. We were on the top floor and there is no lift so had to drag heavy bags up stairs. The walls in the room are thin and you can hear the people next door talking, going to the toilet and showering. The town clock is also nearby so it chimes loudly every hour throughout the night. The bathroom was quite nice however oddly there were no hand towels. Not terrible, but not ideal.

It was quiet and quite close to town so I could walk around and enjoy the sights. I really enjoyed the monkey sighting at the park nearby as well. That being said I really enjoyed my time at the hotel. Room was also very clean and welcoming. Can’t wait to return.

This is a budget quality motel. There is no reception, no restaurant on site, no toiletries, no face-washer, no rubbish bin in the bathroom. The bathroom door wouldn’t latch and kept sliding open. The wifi worked intermittently. The room was not serviced during our two-night stay. The electrical tag and testing is well-overdue. On the plus side, self-checkin was easy. it’s well-located being opposite the park, though that does come with some traffic noise. The bed was comfortable and it was easy to park outside your room.

Overall reasonable value, but some cleaning issues
The overall condition of the property is ok. The rooms are well maintained, but there was issues with cleanliness. The operators are obviously trying to keep costs down by transitioning to a front desk free operation, which is ok, but perhaps this results in a lack of someone to keep an eye on things (like the work of cleaning staff). The main issue was a giant clump of hair in and around the shower drain, not just on the surface but also well down into the drain beneath. It obviously hadn't been cleaned out for quite some time. We cleaned it out, just to not feel queasy when looking down in the shower. Not a guests job.

The rooms were clean, spacious and beds were comfortable. We only stayed for one night and the property had everything we needed. I must admit that with no reception the vibe is not there. If i would have to stay for longer i would probably choose a different hotel in the same price range.

Evette was a wonderful help & had our room fresh and clean & the location is so convenient. Since it is an old property, curtains n carpet may make it difficult for allergy sufferers. It was a perfect crashing pad for our long day out to Cradle Mountain. Really enjoyed our stay.

Did not feel safe
The locks in one of rooms provided first had its safety latch removed. When mentioned about it, they asked us to move to another room. In that room also the deadbolt lock didn’t work as there was no hole to go in. Regarding the cleanliness, couldn’t use the kettle as the base was mouldy. It was not a good experience when travelling with a kid. In addition to that there was no one to talk to in person.

Didn’t like the 2 flights of stairs should have requested a downstairs room as I use a walking stick but I managed next time I’ll remember Would have liked a face washer for makeup & a hand towel felt it was a waste using a bath towel lounge needs to be replaced it has lost it’s spring you sink right down when you sit

Clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. Excellent location - close to cafes and restaurants and City Park directly opposite. Quite steep for walking in and out of the property so something to be aware of if you have mobility issues. Would happily stay again.
